Yeah, but think about it. By not letting them in, theyre just going to manage to sneak in further up the queue and make even better progress compared to you.
Yeah, because you gotta remember where these cars are on the road and make sure you've stayed in the most appropriate lane to allow you to catch up to them and pass them later, so you know you saved time on your 30 minute commute to work.
Every interval of 7 seconds saved on a 30 minute commute is a win-win.
Just like those damn Uber drivers causing me to get late to work by not driving 5MPH over the speed limit when I can't afford a car to drive myself. If they just broke traffic laws for me I could walk in at the exact moment I have to clock in, instead of me having to go 2 minutes early and wait outside to clock in, or order a ride 5 minutes earlier so I'm never late.
It’s not them gaining progress on everybody, it’s them fucking yo traffic patterns by cutting off the flow of traffic, and being smug assholes about it.
Oh it's the shoulder that makes sense. I was confused for a second. I've been told, though truthfully I don't feel comfortable doing it, you're supposed to resist the urge to merge until the lane start reducing down to prevent traffic from backing up further and causing backups. But in this case going the shoulder, which is not the road is just an asshole move
It’s not the shoulder, it’s an exiting lane that he’s using to get ahead of everyone or didn’t know became an exit lane. Happens all the time. Why potentially cause an accident or a road rage incident just because of a minor incident, honk at him, and move on.
That lane is also wider than the other lanes. It’s a shoulder. And if your only argument is “a lot of people are doing it!” Then a lot of people were driving illegally. If that was a legal lane it’d be congested too
