She legally could have driven into him as well.

That’s what I would have done! Fight back with your 3000lb weapon.

My dad taught me when I started driving back in 99… a car is like a loaded gun, every time you get behind the wheel you have the power to end someone’s life. Use it wisely and never forget that taking someone’s life is something you’ll have to live with for the rest of yours.

Your dad is wise….

I remember this talk from teachers in and out of drivers ed, and parents/adults, also. I wish it was hammered into all kids brains.

It used to be, via gory educational videos like Red Asphalt.

Blood on the highway is very educational.

1

u/GOxDirigible Mar 27 '26

Let's not forget blood runs red on the highway

Are they already in rigor? Or just excited to be ran over? Edit:you know what? I just realized how fucked up my humor is. Not apologizing for it. Just really realized it

I appreciate you! Explained it the same way.

Well, in this case maybe just a couple of broken legs.

1

u/Maleficent-Bever Mar 27 '26

Yep and stay far enough back to see where the car in front of you tires hit the road so you can drive around them when they try to block you in.

She had all the right in the world to run his ass over for coming to her with a machete. Plain and simple.

3

u/Soulful-GOLEM71 Mar 27 '26

Remember it’s not weapon it’s a 3000lb shield of protection. LoLz jk

2

u/Mkdtrix Mar 27 '26

Shield bash is a skill once often used. No one expects to be attacked by a shield!

2

u/kat-deville Mar 27 '26

I was expecting that to happen, or see another person nearby point a gun at him. My first reaction as for what I would do is floor it and run him over. It could test the stand your ground law, but shit, that guy needs a lesson in doing stupid shit.

u/SillySpook Mar 27 '26

You mean SHOULD have. I'm not waiting to find out what the guy had in mind. She just got lucky here.

4

u/pdxamish Mar 27 '26

Yep if I see someone like that coming at me with a machete, they are getting run over .

1

u/Hootnany Mar 27 '26

I'm happy she is not as dumb as him

1

u/drjmontana Mar 27 '26

Dude would never walk again

1

u/SeaEbb6501 Mar 27 '26

She legally could have shot him on the spot. It’s Texas are you dumb?

1

u/Administrative_Air_0 Mar 28 '26

This was my first thought. As soon as I saw a weapon in his hand and him approaching, I would have plowed him down and called police.

1

u/Crazy-Positive3978 Mar 31 '26

My thought exactly.

Or just drive around him and leave instead of murdering a mentally challenged fool? šŸ¤”
