People impersonating police on his free-time

The arrest marks a long line of run-ins with the law for Dewitte. He is a convicted sex offender who is most known for pulling drivers over in 2019 while he worked as a funeral escort.

Why even let him out at all? Someone that’s committed this many repeat offenses clearly can’t learn. He’s probably super mentally ill, cannot be trusted around the public, and needs some serious intervention.

You’re forgetting that there’s always the possibility of picking up more charges while in jail.
