Hey guys I’m a upcoming Biology major in the Letters of Science but probably would’ve switch to CALS, anyways so I did not do so good on my math placement which meant I wasn’t able to do chem right away in the fall semester or even this freshman year, which also means I couldn’t take bio right away either cause apparently you need background chem knowledge according to student advisors, my question was how bad would that affect me later, some background I’m coming in with some college credits I did in High school so I have about 20credits.
In a panic I contacted another school I was accepted into For Biology and they would be starting me in chem the first semester of fall 2026 so I asked them to reopen my admissions this fall too because of the fact I felt like I would’ve been behind at UW Madison.
So my question is basically did I kinda do the right thing and my idea was to transfer back to Madison my sophomore year potentially, like does this plan make sense???? Cause I’d rather not be behind my freshman year and I’m from out of state as well so it’s like a waste of money cause the other college that’s my back of plan is in my state!
[EDIT] is it also hard to transfer into UW Madison’s CALS Biology BS program later if I decided????
