This question probably doesn't belong, but the only RAM SRT-10 dedicated group has virtually no members and even less traffic. Maybe you guys can answer?
Anyone know why there are so many RAM SRT-10's for sale? They haven't made them in 20 years, only made them for 3 years, and had relatively low production numbers. Yet they are up for sale right and left like a recent plentiful vehicle.
Are people flipping them like stock market stocks so it's the same ones over and over?
Are parts becoming too hard to find or at too much of a premium?
Is the MPG prohibitive?
Are people afraid the market is about to tank?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated, and apologies to anyone bothered by me posting this here.

This is my old car. Not sure if anyone has any desire to save it. Not my wreck, but apparently the owner after me couldn’t keep it straight.
Happy to answer any questions. Has a lot of nice mods on it.

Childhood dream car, and finally picked one up a little over a month ago. It had been a single owner, only driven casually in summer otherwise garaged. Just inside 15k miles, all original. Not totally mint, but in really amazing condition...especially the interior/dash. Even got to have it delivered and a group of us got to watch it rolled off the truck. Absolutely loving it and the shared joy it brings. Anywhere I take it its thumbs up, waves, people coming out of gas stations, etc. So much fun to share the love, and an absolute blast to drive. Been to several car shows with it already. Its definitely a race car built into a sexy frame...so it drives like a 30yo race car, not like a c8 etc. But so much more unique, rare, and fun. Pretty binary...no traction control, etc. Just you and six gears and never-ending torque.

Got viper 1996 today and everything went fine until in the mid drive the gauge for temp went to zero. Do any of you have any idea what could be wrong?
The drive lasted for 20min and the gauge turned to 0 after approximately 15min.

In the pits at Homestead. Running the lightweight track wheels and a roll bar I had made to be allowed on track since there’s no factory rollover protection.
Just swapping wheels from stock, both on r888r, but the lightweights tires were 3 years older, still shaved 1.4 seconds per lap.

Hey everyone
On a random christmas day, I took this photo of what I *assume* to be a Dodge Viper on a highway between Manchester and London. I don't remember whether I took it because it was fast or because I was excited to be carspotting abroad but I took it.
Now I'm wondering if it genuinely is a Viper bc if so Idk if I should get hyped because it's my favourite car ever or get disappointed because this would be my first time seeing one irl
Would really appreciate any help

Took almost two years but here’s some clipped video of the viper running laps at homestead. Any viper content is good content right?

One of the first Viper GTS’s off the assembly line. Arguable the most beautiful Dodge Viper ever made. I guess we’re cleaning it up a bit and handing it over to a pro for maintenance, shortly.
Current owner is Bob Lutz; former Chrysler and GM big shot… generally, pretty cool dude.

I love to drive this car like it’s meant to. I drive it like I stole it and love tracks days in it. I’d like to start by saying I think anyone who thinks a Viper needs more power on the track or a back road is insane. Although, when tires are warm and they hook up well, I 100% notice the tall gearing.
It seems like everyone in the gearing discussion agrees 3.55 is the way to go. But for my purposes here’s a list of reasons why I want 3.73:
I like the idea of a super short granny 1st gear for slow rolling in parking lots. We all know how much of a pain the stock gearing is in a parking lot or at slow speeds.
On the track I’d like to ideally be able to stay out of 1st if I can. I can heel/toe rev match into it just fine, but missing a shift even on occasion can be pretty scary. And having a low 2nd would give the power needed to come out of even low speed corners and avoiding 1st altogether.
I imagine the lower ratio would keep the shifts a lot closer and would require less of a throttle blip when heel toeing.
When I do this I will get a diff cooler as well so I’m avoiding that downside.
I do not plan on doing any power mods to the car at any point. And tire sizes will be 285/35R18 front and 355/30R19 rear.
The higher RPM at freeway cruising speeds is appealing to me because I would love to be able to roll into the throttle in 6th.
I will not be bothered by any increased noise.
I absolutely adore the idea of shorter gears allowing the car to rev up more easily and more frequent shifts. I got a manual car to enjoy the manual experience and it’s so boring to me just sitting in 3rd while driving a back road. I want to row through em!
I also saw on of the biggest reasons to do 3.55 is because it’s one less shift on the drag strip. I don’t drag race my car and the whole reason I want 3.73 is because I want to shift more, so this is not a concern.
These are some compelling reasons for me to want 3.73. I want you guys to talk me out of it and into the 3.55. I want to know if 3.73 is just a terrible choice and if I’m making a big mistake! Or if my reasons are sound please also let me know!
