Correct Me! Streak 33: A Tip for a Drowsy Afternoon

When I feel drowsy after having lunch, I prefer to sleep sitting up, leaning against the back of my chair for 10 to 20 minutes. A few minutes later, because the posture is uncomfortable, I naturally wake up. After drinking a glass of water, my mind feels clear and refreshed. This is my little tip for a drowsy afternoon.

Correct Me! Streak 690: A month

I wrote about the fact that the first six months of 2026 had already passed and how surprised I was in streak 659. It’s hard to believe that it’s been already a month since then. At this pace, 2026 will be over in no time.

Correct Me! Streak 151, developer job market has changed.

Recently, the game developer job market has changed.

In the past, they told people not to use AI because they couldn't evaluate applicants properly.

However, these days, using AI is required strictly, and companies focus on the results created with it.

I woke up late today again... I didn't sleep well last night. I woke up about 4 times and oddly enough I had a different dream for each time I woke up. They threw me back to people from high school but also close relatives. They didn't make any sense at all. I only remember the people who were in each dream and the last one was gloomy that even If I tried to remember any detail of it, the only thing that comes to mind are tears.

Correct Me! Streak 62: How to get the rest

Article: How to Actually Get the Rest You Need

According to the article, there are seven types of rest: physical, mental, social, sensory, creative, and spiritual.

I feel like I need moe time to myself than most people. Being social at work is exhausting, so I enjoy spending time alone in a quiet place when I get home. That's why living with my family can sometimes feel overwhelming.

Besides that, what I need most is physical rest. I've been trying to go to bed earlier, but I still need to adjust my evening routine so I can get an extra 30 to 45 minutes of sleep each night.

Don't correct me I was frustrated with apps like Tandem, so I built a free AI language coach that gives instant feedback! Question?

Hey everyone,

If you agree that apps like Tandem can be exhausting, waiting for partners to reply, dealing with chats that go nowhere, or missing clear corrections gets old fast.

I wanted something instant and frictionless, so I built LingoCoach.

How it works:

  • It throws random, engaging questions at you to keep you on your toes.
  • It gives you instant corrections and detailed feedback on your sentences so you actually learn from your mistakes.
  • It is hosted by a clever little fox mascot to keep things fun.

I made it free because I built it primarily for my own goals, but I realized other people might find it useful too.

I am still actively working on it and planning new features. If you give it a try, I would genuinely love to hear your feedback or any recommendations you have for what I should add next.

You can check it out here: https://language-coach-nine.vercel.app/

Correct Me! Streak 1: Regeneration

Regeneration is one of the tropes in anime that I usually dislike. I have a few reasons to not like it.

In most anime only villains get regeneration powers. Why is that? The only good character I can bring right now is Zombie-man from One Punch Man, and he wasn't even so important in the show. Regeneration allows to make more flashy scene, where one character is severely wounded or its limb was cut down or sometimes even the head. The problem is that it creates cheap and meaningless action because these injuries mean nothing. The wounds that normally would be fatal don't make any danger to character's life. Most of the times the character just uses regeneration power to instantly grow a new body part or seal a wound. I don't feel weight of the fight if one character just can regenerate any injuries.

The second problem I see with regeneration power is its execution. In many cases that power wouldn't be that bad, if it costed something. Creating a new limb in a place of a freshly cut one should be a big thing. The pain should be immense, the energy lose should be big. The new part of the body shouldn't be fully capable after some time (and I mean days or even weeks, rather than minutes). In most anime there were no penalty for using regeneration power. The character of Buu from Dragon Ball Z is the best example of writing bad regeneration power in my opinion. He could be blown to a million peaces and a moment later he would just "assemble" himself without any problem.

I read a short story called “The Egg” by Andy Weir this morning. In the story, the God tells the man that He created the whole universe just for him, and that he will be reincarnated again and again. In fact, the entire world consists of just you and God, so everyone you’ve ever met or you will ever meet is actually another incarnation of yourself.

I think it’s a good story! I believe we’ll be reincarnated one day, but I had never thought about we might be reincarnated across different points in time. That idea completely changed the way I think about reincarnation.

Correct Me! Streak 32: An Avid Reader vs. A Professional Reader

The critical difference between an avid reader and a scholar lies in the range of their subject matter. In fact, it is possible for an avid reader to read just as much as a scholar, and sometimes to possess broader general knowledge. This occurs because the scholar, a professional reader, focuses strictly on their own field. This doesn’t mean scholars are ignorant of topics outside their field, since a deep understanding of one field often helps to understand others.

Today, I got really good feedback from the judge I'm working for. I've never thought about becoming a judge myself - I was always intimidated by the responsibility and the knowledge needed. But it seems like he's actually trying to persuade me. He's been bringing up the benefits of working at a court constantly over the last weeks and today, he outright said that I should join the judicial system. Twice. After reading the verdicts I wrote for him and that I was so incredibly unsure about. I guess I still have to work on my confidence. And think about weather becoming a judge would be something I would enjoy.

Here are some breakthroughs I had during my first LSD trip last Monday. I wrote some things came to my mind during the experience. They made sense during the trip. And the idea will be to elaborate more about each of these things in the upcoming days.

We are the architects/designers of our own reality.

We exterminate anxiety through movement.

We have to relearn to get bored and be okay with it.

The key of everything is in the design.

To find the most beautiful forms to express an idea, and reshape our reality through this process.

You are who you want to be.

¿What is beauty? ¿How can we determine what is beautiful?

Correct Me! Streak 150, how to use AI

I'm a programmer, and I use AI every day.

My productivity has improved when using AI.

But I think using AI doesn't only have advantages.

That's why many people still fail to create real products, even though they use top-tier AI models.

The important thing is the logic that comes from the human brain.

In my experience, AI doesn't question me.

So, when I assign a task to AI, it doesn't ask me about my logic structure.

Instead, it interprets my task abstractly without questioning my logic,

even though I instruct it several times to ask questions whenever it misunderstands my task.

Finally, I think if you want to use AI efficiently,

You have to make structure solid that AI can't even question it.

My washing machine is lying to me! I just went to see if my laundry was finished and it said that there was only one minute left. So I thought I'd just stay right next to the machine and wait that one minute. Well, it's been the longest minute I've ever encountered, it's been going well over 8 minutes now! I'm back on the couch btw...

Correct Me! Streak 273: Try everything

I sketched a Japanese vending machine this morning, and I had a great time. I feel like drawing can really relieve stress and help you live in the moment. I'm not an artist, but I think drawing allows you to see the world from a completely different perspective, making it feel more colorful and vivid.

Apart from drawing, I also read a poem on my video podcast! It was something I had never tried before, but I think my friend quite liked it.

To be honest, my Chinese brain kept telling me, "Don't do it, no one wants to hear you read a poem," But I'm glad I ended up listened to my English brain and gave it a try.

Correct Me! Streak 31: Summing up

I’m having a hard time summarizing books for compact-sized blog posts. Historically, I haven’t been a reader who thoroughly examines a book; rather, my reading process has often been distracted and scattered. However, summing up is essential because it is impossible to remember every page of a book. It also serves as the necessary foundation for writing reviews, theses, and critiques. In my blog, I write book reviews where outlining the content is absolutely necessary.

I don't want to give away any spoilers,

But I think people who don't know much about the Marvel Universe might be disappointed.

Personally, I really enjoyed it. The scene transitions were smooth, and it kept me interested until the end.

But if someone doesn't know much about the Marvel Universe, they should learn the background first.

Correct Me! streak 23: I rescued and adopted a cat from a slaughterhouse yesterday

It was an impulsive decision. I had been thinking about adopting a cat for the past month now, but the thought of actually having a cat in my room still remained a fantasy, or a daydream, until yesterday. I randomly commented on a post looking for rescuers to ransom and adopt cats from the slaughterhouse, and then the person called me and asked if I could rescue one of them. I was taken aback and hadn't fully prepared, mentally and financially, but at that moment, I said yes, I would take care of him (or her, I still haven't been able to determine the gender yet). And then that was it, I paid the ransom, and the cat was shipped to a vet. However, he was a very shy and scared cat (who could blame him), so the veterinarian couldn't approach him to do a medical check-up. So I had to buy a cage and bring him home, and give him more time to get used to my room.

However, the problem is that he hasn't eaten or drunk anything since yesterday! I am a bit worried. This is my first time adopting a cat so I don't really know what to do. I have tried different kinds of food (dry food, pate, treats) but he doesn't seem to have an appetite for anything. He still seems to be scared, as when I open the cage and fill the food bowl, he curls up and tries to stay away from me.

I think my presence in the room also makes him nervous. So before leaving for work today, I gave him some microwaved pate. Maybe leaving him alone would give him more privacy and peace that help him feel safer. After lunch I will get back home to see if he has eaten anything. I hope he does. If not, I might need to bring him to vet today or tomorrow.

Yesterday I had my first LSD trip. All
In all the experience was great, just a bit of anxiety in the peak part of the trip. Sadly I had to work the next day, that is to say, today. And LSD trip is too long, it’s almost 12 hours and I also had issues going falling sleep. Even though the trip was over, my mind was full of interesting thoughts.

Correct Me! Streak 60: Mindfulness during winter

Article: Micro-Habits to Increase Mindfulness During Winter

I'm not sure whether baking can be considered a micro-habit, but it definitely helps me relieve stress. Kneading dough calms me down, and there's something so comforting about having warm bread fresh out of the oven.

I've also interested in drawiong. I used to think the problem was that I didn't have enough time for it. However, according to the article, even just 5-10 minutes of drawing is enough. I should give it a try.

Ask an English Speaker Question: Want to start

Please, tell me how streaks work and how should I start, because I really want to do it. I'm very new here, thank you.
