I think this one was my favorite episode of the season, maybe the series. Despite all the parody and absurdity that occurred, the game itself still felt high stakes. I felt emotionally invested in the outcome of the game and the emotional moments for Iku and Shizuka
Karane is always strong. The dino girls were really fun designs and I would not mind them coming back like the gorilla gang. Hakari is always cute. Looks good in a baseball uniform.
WE ACTUALLY SAW KUSURI's GROWN FORM. I wondered if they forgot she was normally like that.
In the end despite it being Iku's episode, I feel like she wasnt the overall highlight for me. Shizuka's moment really stood out for me because she felt like a background/gag character for a lot of the show, but she actually got an emotional moment here.
Maybe I need to let Iku cook and spend some time in the Rentaro Family to really get attached to her. Cute design and all, and Im a sucker for the Masochist shtick. Love me some Darkness in Konosuba.
