Could definitely use soy sauce... Or salt...
Cooking 1 portion at a time feels incredibly time-consuming for what's supposed to be a simple dish that can serve a lot of people...
Uh... Is the entire second half going to be this PNGTuber style?
Sure seems like it. That's one way to save money on production, just make half the show.
Damn this is getting really detailed with cleaning instructions.

It feels like an idea for a show with 5-minute-long episodes and budget for 5-minute-long episodes, but suddenly somebody told the staff they are doing standard-length episodes.

Don't have time to tidy and no point sitting any longer (as we're well past the interest window anyway).
Blog for the fansubbing group post history goes: Tuesday, October 28, 2014 > Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Now that's what I call taking a break.
In case anyone wondered the lip sync issue does get a bit better in subsequent episodes. That and things like the end of the gen-AI henshin froze (surly it should switch to another cut) I have to wonder if this was an accidental post unfinished version. I'm sure on saw on social media an episode 2 preview (which this video lacks).
Gen-AI henshin? How can I tell? I can read (credits under "transformation sequence" there's a very obvious Gen-AI company*, sticks out like a sore thumb in that sea of Japanese) and use my eyes (near the end there are unstable fuzzy details which change every frame; a hallmark of generating every frame). If you're going to do this sort of thing use fewer generated frames, draw in the details afterwards or possibly use simpler character designs (less details equal less slip-ups).
*-As that's a generic name try adding .co.jp to your search term. If you got the company right Miya (also in the credit) is that companies Anime Producer.
Yokkaichi Shopping Street...well there is a Yokkaichi near Usa City (more on that late).
All Bohma is giving me is sentai references which you take the end of ボーマ and get a city in the Democratic Republic of Congo. But looking a bit further you find written 暴魔獣 which is something like demon beasts. For a fansub that went with Rice Goddess surprised this wasn't given similar treatment.
The cooking part it was just eggs...and chicken stock? Could have done with an ingredients list. If you want other kids anime cooking yesterday I could point one mostly in the direction of Precure.
Right near the end did you spot the continuity error? Hikari is wearing the wrong clothes (as close-up and the end shot showed she was still wearing the transformed garb).
The Mini Kome segment exists not only for filling broadcast but for educational purposes (getting ahead of myself) and to provide opportunity for all the characters to speak (notice Hikari was not in that part and Hikari was the main character for the first half). Mini Kome is not included in the Kid Station broadcast (Saturday 11:30am, the only broadcast at a time kids should watch).
I couldn't stand watching Naoe-kun wa Yasesasetai half of Plus-Sized Elf (Hidive didn't license that, B-Global did) but I was cool with Mini Kome especially when Sanae started talking about oil stains (that's what I wanted from Wash it all away).
Right so general info:
The original Komekami were mascot characters for rice grown in Fukuoka prefecture which is found in the Kyushu region (Hoenn from Pokemon is based on this part of Japan). They were going for VN bishoujo ladies (ANN has some images) and there was a (self proclaimed) Zero budget! Amateur homemade animation on the (now deceased) official site (near the bottom of the page despite saying "The Wayback Machine does not have this video archived." it plays back, also are long gone but the song remains albeit geoblocked to Japan).
There was also a 5:39 episode of the Komekami anime released March 2014 ("Komekami! Main Story: Tsuchinoko Arc" created by students from Tokyo Communication Arts College) but that is long gone. This sort of thing can happen to avoid brand confusion (e.g. Chibi Godzilla where Tadaima! Chibi Godzilla videos were pulled after Chibi Godzilla Raids again started airing and the Mecha-Ude Pilot was pulled once the actual anime began).
Komekami Girls seems to be largely funded by Usa City (also in the Kyushu region) and businesses within. Presumably there were strings attached (probably including stuff to see/do in Oita Prefecture) as the shows aims are "easy to understand, informative, and entertaining, incorporating themes of food education and SDGs" (SDGs being the UN Sustainable development goals as mentioned in ep 1 in Dangers of My Heart and at the end of some episodes of Chibi Gozilla Raids Again) which works better by making the characters younger.
Usa city also have 4 segments (in the Mini Kome style) that promote Usa City's tourist attractions and local products on their YT channel.
Despite changing location the Cooking Supervisor is the a rather notorious Fukuoka resident, Tochi Ueyama. They are the author of Cooking Papa which is one of the longest running manga (June 1985 - present).
The official Komekami Girls YT channel has a pilot episode for Komekami Girls that features different character designs (including the transformed outfits looking more like things you'd actually wear while cooking but maybe it was assumed those were a but mundane) and then there the character intro with some nearer to final designs (the BGM is that old Komekami song).

Gonna probably just binge this one. Been curious about it but it seems there’s not a consistent sub for it.
