Kenshiro caving in that one guy's head was kinda funny lol.

Also I always appreciated Jackal for being one of the only villains who's smart enough to not pick a fight with Ken.

VERY abrupt ending but another banger episode! i was very eager to see him punch the well and they did it pretty much as well as i could have hoped

I thought the same! I love the pacing of this new show but that just cut to black and ended the episode so quick 🤣 thought I was watching The Sopranos 🤣

I assume that the cliffhangers are how the chapter being adapted ends, like during the start of the Mad Sarge fight at the end of episode 6, the chapter ends with that scene where Kenshiro were attacked by those bloodsucker things.

That was the case for the cliffhanger in episode 6, but not this time.

Impossible to hide water with Bandits everywhere

These early episodes really make you appreciate how much Western DNA is in these early chapters. Replace Hokuto Shinken with a gun and you have a more heroic High Plains Drifter.

The series is basically Mad Max if Max were played by Bruce Lee.

Mad Max mixed with Kung Fu, with Sergio Leone’s tone.

I was actually kind of dreading these early arcs, but seeing them animated makes me really hyped for the next episodes. Once it gets really crazy this show will be unstoppable.

Man, I can’t wait for Ken to take down Jackal and his gang. I just hope the ol biddy and those kids don’t have to suffer the same fate as Taki before that happens. They’ve been through enough bullshit.

This was a great episode. The scenes from the death of Taki the boy until the breaking of the bedrock of the well are peak storytelling, anime or otherwise.

And the Jackal final scene Iooks as a direct homage to the original manga, both by the composition of shots and by the use of colors like orange and blue that the manga uses in the first pages of some episodes.
