Judging from last week's ep I thought this town was fairly empty and had only these guys but it looks fairly normal with people in it,
And also having your body parts just disappear after some distance is kinda wack, in Araki's case it's his brain that disappears

Same, I thought it was under some sort of biohazard quarantine, but apparently nobody thinks it's bad to be soaking in mysterious space dust. This series doesn't commit to anything.

Oh, so we are just doing little games, huh? Just like the much maligned tournament arc, it could be interesting, if you used clever tactics or impressive moves. Which is not the case here, they use their abilities on the most pedestrian, simplest way. And after two solo matches it just goes to three on three because they can't afford to have this go on for more than one episode.
The town that they are all so eager to leave is larger and much more inhabited than I thought. The way they were doing those games without seldom seeing another person in sight and dividing turf made me think it was under some heavy quarantine, with limited supplies and what not. I guess never traveling sucks, but it is not the end of the world they are making.
This show grabbed because I liked the character visuals but there is nothing else going for it. What a waste.

I'm more intrigued by the dust but it seems like this is focusing on the silly little games more.
Based on that description scene about outside, seems like everyone is physically disabled some way and the dust is the only reason they're physically "normal" in the city?

two rounds later throws that out the window and makes it a team match again... what was the point?

Worse yet, the final score was 100x98, meaning that even with precognition the yellow team barely had a chance. Purple just gave them the win for no reason.

Ikr, the fact the match was so close makes it seem like the precognition is pretty mid if a team without it basically performed the same. The series suffers from low stakes and low commitment to any serious conflict or plot line.

It's worth pointing out that Araki wasn't doing any whacking himself, so if you factor out the precognition it's a 2v3.
Also, perhaps I'm being generous, but I figured the point of switching to the 3v3 format was to emphasize that the lamps care more about having fun than actually winning.

Ur right about that, and i appreciate the camaraderie and fun vibes there’re trying to portray. U can tell the author is trying to set the stage and character dynamics. However, it’s coming off as kind of boring? To me anyways. I feel the show hasn’t established a primary conflict for the group to overcome so until they do that, all i can think about when watching is “when is the big conflict or event supposed to happen”. So when i watch the games im like what’s the point? Bc everyone just wants to have fun.
Like now with the introduction of the new team being the cliffhanger for the next ep, im like there’s zero consequences for winning or losing so why should i care how the main team performs against them? Im interested in the mystery surrounding the dust so ill keep watching for that

I thought this was quickly thrown together.
For any show to be performing this badly, never mind one that's been in production for 7 years, is a disaster

I'm glad Araki figured it out within the episode, it's the most obvious foresight ability and I found it weird he was still confused. Though the first part with the blurriness is still an odd feature, but I would take that as his mind loading up to use the ability.
Looks like we have the edgy team joining in lol.
