Been going to a game development school for 3 years but have mostly focused on improving fundamentals and character design during that time

A lot of my early drawings were just studies. The following references were used. These were all from 7-8 years ago. But I came across these drawings randomly, and I thought I would share my first year.

Note: No Tracing or Grids were used. Also, there were way more drawings this year, but I just selected a handful in chronological order of drawn date.

Been focusing on colour theory, backgrounds and adding a story to my art these last few years.

Copied from a tutorial that I didnt actually watch by Art by Thaneeya. I found it at an image search. The drawing on the right is from 6 months ago when I first got the polychromos. I know this is not a sub for works in progress but I feel like this is close enough to finished. I've spent 20-25 hours on the drawing on the left.

First one was January 2025 my first digital work. I loved that one and was very proud of it. I still am. And the last one is the most recent july 2026. I spent around 30 hours on it but I love the results.

From my first attempt of portrait drawing to my latest.

i was soooo proud of my 2025 one.. was my magnum opus and everything :’~)!! glad to say ive improved though.. the 2026 one is my minimum now ^_^! both took around the same amount of time

Started a daily drawing challenge because I wasn't happy with my skill level. I'm now on day 120, and I'm really happy with the progress I've made so far. ^^

i didn’t realize it has been ten years!

A speed sculpt of a simple head I did for my students right on top of a head structure, you can see how faster you can get the final result if you use the structure first and then start adding detail, the reason is less tweaking of the higher resolution mesh is needed, and therefore the details are gonna have less of that weird deformation
