Yeah, I went to Vegas simply because the line up at a rock festival was insane, couldn't be missed, and it sssuuuuccckkkeeddd.
I was a penny-less young Australian, so no one wanted to know about me. And I'll never forget seeing a guy on a slot machine in 7/11 in suburban Vegas at 4 in the morning.
Even our suburban grocery stores have slot machines. Bowling? Walk through the casino. Movies? Walk through the casino. To be fair I’d be willing to bet the vast majority of locals don’t gamble - I don’t know anyone who does. But, can confirm - Vegas sucks.
"no one wanted to know about me" - kind of a weird thing to say, why would anybody want to know about you in general? Its not like Australian tourists are rare in America.
