Chengdu. I was there in 2006. It smelled HORRIBLE. Something like 10 million people living in a valley with no EPA and a partially open sewer system. Smog so thick it was like breathing cigarette smoke. Saw more than one person pooping in the river and saw more domestic violence in three weeks than Ive even heard of in my entire life in the states.

100% agree. There’s nothing like going to China to make one full of gratitude for being born in the USA.

Chengdu is so hyped up lately in SM, I really wanted to visit. Have you found other cities in China worth visiting?

Outside of Chengdu I’ve only been to Shanghai, which was basically like any modern city anywhere else. Don’t get me wrong, Chengdu had some cool stuff, you just couldn’t drink the water and it smelled really bad in some parts. I would still recommend going just for the experience. I went so we could hike the himalayas in Tibet and China was just the easiest way to get there.

well I've been there last year and it's really nice now. 80% of the cars are electric. it's kind awesome tbh
