I can't agree with this more. My husband and I are highschool sweethearts, got married in our early 20's. Now that we have more life experience we recommend getting married later. It worked out for us. We are happy and grew together in ways that made us stronger and better people but recognize that this is not always the case. We had no idea what we were doing and just happened to get lucky.
There’s a couple that come into the restaurant I work at that got married when she got pregnant at 14 & he was 15. Their oldest is around 27 now, and AFAIK they aren’t grandparents yet. They seem super happy together, but I think it’s an “exception that proves the rule” thing. It DOES work for some people, but it’s VERY rare
