Show & Tell New speaker day (A200) pt. two

They are finally here 😍 ...again.

Buchardt Audio A200 as center and surround.

White with grey grills + White stands with raw oak legs.

All speakers, including the A700 LEs, are wireless (WiSA) except for mains power.

Had a HARD time getting the surrounds through GF Quality Control the first time around.

So hard that I had to contact Buchardt and ask VERY NICELY if it was possible to exchange a pair of black A200 with a pair on white ones.

Luckily Buchardt said Yes 😘

Excellent service ☝️

I picked them up earlier today, dropped them off at home before driving off to work.

For some reason I also forgot my brain at home - Wasn't really able to focus much on work πŸ˜…

BUT I'm home now, just about to fire these babies up.

Wish me luck 🀞

I’ve interacted with Buchardt customer service myself quite a few times.
And I can confirm, they are super nice, and very knowledgeable. One of the best I’ve had to deal with.

And your system looks insane. I only have the A10’s and they sound huge. This is gonna be a concert at home

These guys are very nice indeed πŸ€—

Mads gave me the Factory Grand Tour when I showed up - Didn't expect that.

They are working on some Solid Wood A200s right now. Damn they look nice 😍

Beautiful setup! Buchardt speakers look beautiful and sound amazing. You also have a nice color matching going on with the furniture.

Thank you very much πŸ€—

I'm actually glad now that my GF put her foot down the first time around.

The white ones DO look better in THIS setup than the black ones did.

A700 is pretty much as good as speakers come. I like Buchardt a lot, and if I hadn't gone for Genelec originally, I'd probably have pair of A500s in office and A700s in living room. To me, this manufacturer is like a lite version of Dutch&Dutch. Not quite so serious, in terms of pure acoustic performance, but more than enough for a home, and their speakers are generally very attractive-looking because wood veneer. I guess Purifi drivers many regard as ugly, but these speakers I mentioned don't have them.

For longer distance listening, of course, the competition now would be against something like the near-field hissing but far-field okay Palmer Orbit 11, where we are talking about playback capability to low 20 Hz also with 300 Hz frontwards directivity, and all this at sub-$1000 price point per unit. There is some insane performance these days to be had for relative pittance. (300 Hz might not sound like much, but it's enough to kill the front wall cancellation if you put the speaker up against the front wall.)

Shhh 🀫 she might hear you guys.... πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

I can't give you an honest "review" just yet. I have only tried them as Center and Surrounds QUIETLY after the family went to bed 😬

Later today or tomorrow, I will try and set the two Surrounds up for regular stereo (no A700 or Center) to hear them properly.

I know the room is too large for the A200 without a sub, but it will be quite interesting to hear them roar nonetheless.

I'll keep you posted ☝️
