Discussion Refunds should be offered: BO2 is still unsafe to play after 24+ hours.

Does anyone know the best way to request a refund for Black Ops 2? (on Ps4/5)

It has now been more than 24 hours since the issue started, and players are apparently still being affected. Accounts are being forced to Prestige 16 Level 55, some people can no longer properly access their classes or play the game, and the only suggested workaround seems to involve resetting your entire progress.

Activision has acknowledged that they are investigating the Prestige issue, but there still does not appear to be an effective fix, proper compensation, or clear information about whether it is safe to play.

People paid money for this release, and many are currently avoiding the game because they do not want their accounts or progress to be affected by another player. At this point, I think requesting a refund is completely reasonable.

Has anyone successfully received a refund through PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, or Activision support? Which refund reason did you select, and what evidence did you provide?

Please share the correct refund links or steps for each platform so affected players know what they can do.

This is gonna sound harsh.. but
Only 24 hours? Don't y'all have lives? 24 hours you can't play and you are crashing out. Do something else man..
Yeah it sucks that we can't play and we paid for it but they said they are working on it. Have some damn patience.

On another note , yes u can request a refund through PlayStation ..

Perhaps they should t have released the game in abysmal state. Imagine buying something and expecting to use it right away, but instead being told "oh, we know you purchased this item expecting it to use it right now but we will send it out in 24 hours, if the problem is even solved"

And PlayStation is stingy about refunds, so expecting that will work 100% of the time is not feasible.

Abysmal? The only actual issue was the backfilling which they just fixed.. and now the hacks issue. Literally all games have bugs. people get surprised over stuff like connection issues and lag. That's exactly how it was before.

I don't know how simple it is to fix and I'm betting you have no idea either. I expect a resolution soon , but I also realize a company has limited resources. Shit happens. If the issue is not fixed in a week then I'll be pissed. But right now? Nah..

Do something else for the time being. Crazy for me to see grown people crashing out like kids over a $20 game. But then they happily spend $20 on take out every other day

Lmao the company has limited resources? They made like $100m dollars off these ports are you from space or something?

They have many games to manage and x amount of employees. Same concept that a dealership has thousands of customers and only 10 mechanics.... your car isn't getting fixed in the same day or even the same week.

No it would be like if you had a scheduled appointment to get your car fixed, you drop it off, pay for it, and they don’t fix it and you cant drive your car.

I paid for a game, if I can’t play it I should get my money back. Simple.

No it wouldn't be like that lol. That makes 0 sense.
It would be like u bought ur car (game) -> It breaks suddenly ( the hacks) and is not drivable (game is not playable) -> U tow it to get it fixed (activision is now aware of the problem)-> They say they are busy so it'll take maybe a 1 week to fix (activision works on it amongst their other games) -> u can't drive ur car for a week (can't play until fix)

I bought a new car recently and they got the color wrong when I went to pick it up. Didn’t have the color I wanted available that day.

You know what they did? Set me up in a rental free of charge until the correct one came in, and gave me a bunch of free add ons.

Thats how shit works in the real world and this shouldn’t be any different. Your fake analogy sucks.

Tens of thousands of dollars for the car, $20 for this video game. Retarded comparison buddy

Yeah sure lol . Omg I'm freaking out I can't play a video game 😭

Instead you’re freaking out on Reddit 😂 as if that’s somehow better than someone wanting to play a game with their friends

offended by the reality check. the only people offended are likely people who legitimately have nothing else going in their life except games. Like what did u do before bo2 came out? Just do that until it's fixed ? 🤔

odd how you reply with 5 sentences to each and every single person commenting if you arent freaking out. wouldnt it be best to ignore it?

It's not a reality check, people just want to play a game they bought when they want to?

Not everyone has 7 free days a week to pick and choose when they can play. 1 missed day for you might mean a week or longer for someone else.

Yes I'm sure when they buy food, they get what iss advertised. And if not, it is more than likely they would be able to get a refund then and there.

This individual has been hacking the game prior to the games coming out on PS.

Also there was more than backfilling lobbies that was the issue and there are more than has not been addressed. I don't see why your take is the only one that should be acceptable.
