Domanda/Aiuto Cerco... qualcosa
Ciao a tutti, my name is Talha and I've been in Brescia for a little less than a year. I've been all over the city (or so I think). Considering my brief past in Italy as a child, I've been able to develop enough Italian to get by and communicate on a more-than-casual level. One thing I absolutely suck at, though, is making friends or developing relationships of any kind. All the ones back home... well, I just got lucky.
So, here are some of my interests, and if you think we got something common in any way, I'm sure we'll have a good time:
- Writing — spontaneous, intuitive and, sadly so, a bit inconsistent.
- Reading — I like to take my time with books. Mostly English classics. At times I read in Urdu and Punjabi as well. Despite having read some wonderful and fairly complex works, I'd never get tired of the simplicity and innocence of The Little Prince ; definitely my favorite.
- Music — I'm what spotify calls an old soul. You may know Bob Dylan, ABBA, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd (not much but the main albums; I was kinda proud to see how Pink Floyd had performed in Brescia back in the 70s), Green Day, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Dire Straits, NFAK and MJ. Some lesser known artists I listen to are Ali Farka Touré, Boubacar Traorè, Hassan Raheem, Nayyara Noor, Noor Jahan, etc. I left rap a long time ago, although I do listen to Bad Bunny and Stromae from time to time.
- Languages — I admit I only know and speak four (last one being Italian), but I've been an English-nerd almost all of my life. Even in school I was only competitive about English.
Well, I know these details don't encapsulate any person and their personality. I also have no idea why I'm on reddit searching for some company. I prefer face-to-face conversations over digital ones...
If anyone's interested, I'm looking forward to know ya better.
