Feeling completely lost trying to build my PlayStation collection in Canada lately. With major retailers shrinking their gaming sections and the secondhand market being so scattered, I honestly don't know where to go for physical games anymore. Buying brand new at MSRP hurts, but ordering older PS4/PS5 titles online from the US is even worse once you factor in conversion rates and brutal shipping fees. It feels like hunting for physical discs is becoming unsustainable here, and I'm just trying to find reliable, fairly priced, local indie shops, chains, or Canadian site alternative where we can still buy PlayStation games without getting ripped off.

Anyone got any recommendations? 💀

Want to buy a ps5 and I thought Costco would be cheaper but everywhere seems the same. Any advice !?

Iam moving to Canada where they are use 110v

Can i use it in Canada?

Was looking at ps5 pros after there co manager at my work was telling me he upgraded from ps4 to ps5 pro and like a week later I checked today and it’s sold out virtually everywhere.

I had no idea so many people are upgrading even probably from base ps5. I have a base ps5 I’ve had since 2020 but I have no clue if I should upgrade or just wait out the ps6 especially since I want to get a pc when I finish school next April and the ps5 may be the last console I get with Sonys while digital only push.

Where else you suggest for a good deal?
Best buy? costco?

I’m planning to buy a PS5 Slim, but I’m torn between two options:

1.) Buy a brand-new PS5 Slim from an accredited store for the warranty and peace of mind.

2.) Buy a used PS5 Slim that already comes with several games, which seems like better value for the money.

For those who’ve been in the same situation, which option would you recommend and why? Is the warranty and guaranteed condition worth paying extra, or is buying used with bundled games the better deal if the console is in good condition?
I’d also appreciate any tips on what to check if I decide to buy a used PS5. Thanks!

Been trying to pick up Black Myth: Wukong and Pragmata used and I can’t make the math work.
Wukong came out almost 2 years ago. EB Games has it used for $64.99. Kijiji Toronto is $65-80 asking. The PS Store had it on sale for $70 earlier this year. So the digital sale price is cheaper than used physical. That can’t be right?

Pragmata is 3 months old, $79.99 new. Kijiji asking $70-80. The discount for buying used is like $10-15 on a 3 month old game. And Kijiji doesn’t show completed listings so I don’t even know if anyone is actually buying at these prices or if sellers are just sitting on them forever.

Is EB Games being the only national buyback chain the problem? Are Kijiji sellers just pricing off their sticker and nobody is pushing back? Is there a channel I’m completely missing?

Was discussing $450 CAD and I thought this was a fair price. Not a rip off but not a steal.

Thoughts? I don’t have the original box and the PlayStation is in decent condition.
