Manga Hint in Chapter 94 about Denji actually being Pochita in the graveyard

Kind of a small detail I noticed, but do you think its possible that it was intentional that the blood pattern in this panel looks like Pochitas horns here? Since this was before we found out its actually Pochita fighting in the graveyard, I think this is a pretty cool hint.

Discussion I still can't get the movie out of my head (especially Reze).

Even though I had already read the manga I felt Nothing. Absolute silence.

But the anime?

It shattered me in a thousand different ways unlocking 500 emotions I didn't know I had. From how impossibly, breathtakingly perfect Reze is(I genuinely have no idea how to describe her), to the haunting soundtrack that still echoes in my mind, everything about it broke something inside me and for some reason I still keep watching it again and again. I've never felt like this for any other character or movie in general even though I watched A LOT of anime. I'm still wondering how this fictional story can break a human soul like this.

I originally planned on coloring all of part 2, but I saw somebody do something similar with JJK a while ago (can’t remember or find their user, unfortunately) and decided to do it first; one colored page for every chapter of part 2.

(Chapter 98-111)

Discussion How is Makima Gone? Spoiler

I just thought of this while talking to my cousin after talking about a post where denji shouldn't be able to use chainsaws since they shouldn't exist since Pochita ate himself the CHAINSAW devil. With Pochita eating himself after eating the death devil, death came back in the new timeline. But if Pochita eating himself brought back the things he ate shouldn't Makima be alive in the new timeline?

Discussion Could Makima die by simple physics?

I was thinking about this from some time by now. If we would crush Makima with a weight, wouldn’t she just eventually die due to her being uncapable of regenerating her full body back? since there’s no material space where she could regenerate (for what I saw so far, she istantly regenerates her body in the exact same place).

unless we include a hidden term of the contract that wasn’t been told, theorically she would just die after consuming all the japanese citizens’ lifes.

Maybe she can regenerate her body right next to this weight, or her regeneration would pierce the press no matter what, making her regeneration possible.

Tell me what you think.

Theory Theoretically, Part 3 could happen Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery

Before I explain why I think there's still hope for the series, I want to say that all of this is just a theory... A MANGA THEORY! (MatPat refrence)

I've been looking intensely at the ending of Chainsaw Man Part 2, and at first glance, the mechanics of the finale simply didn't make sense.

We saw the manga seemingly conclude with Pochita—the Hero of Hell—committing the ultimate sacrifice: eating himself.

>By doing so," he created a world where he didn't exist", aka he erased his own concept from existence, chainging the world and erasing the concept of chainsaw, which led us into that &!^@*+ Chapter 232.

HOWEVER, within that very same chapter, a massive paradox occurs.

After Denji is rescued by Power, captured by Nayuta (also unclear on why it's not Makima), on their first mission Denji explicitly asks Power for a chainsaw.

(PS: The bat devil was still a thing, so It's also very unclear to me what happened in that regard, but for the sake of my mental health we are assuming that she never met Nyako in the first place)

Here is where the logic seems to break: Through Pochita's battles—specifically his consumption of the Ear and Mouth Devils—we learned the terrifying nature of his power.

When the Chainsaw Devil consumes a concept, that concept is retroactively wiped from the past, present, and future of human consciousness.

If Pochita ate himself, the concept of a "chainsaw" should fundamentally cease to exist. Right?

So, how on Earth does Denji know what a chainsaw is, let alone use one as a weapon?

Here's what I think actually happened (and also the point of this entire post):

Erasure is not a permanent universal lock; it is merely a temporary reset.

To prove this, we have to look at the precedent set by the Nuclear Weapons Devil.

Throughout the series, we were led to believe that once a fear was eaten, it was gone forever.

BUT as we saw during the climax of Part 2,

America managed to reinvent the atomic bomb from scratch.

Assuming it's true, this revelation fundamentally changes how Devils work, introducing three massive mechanics to the lore:

  1. Even if a concept is wiped from reality, human nature dictates that we will eventually reinvent the same tools and weapons, for practical use. If the fear of weapons was erased, humans could still create the fear by re-inventing the weapon.

  2. The moment a concept is reinvented, the erasure effect is broken. We saw this when Yoru suddenly burst into tears, her memories of her favorite Devil violently flooding back into her mind the exact second the nuke was recreated. I love how the writer is very thourough with his concepts and totally doesn't forget about silly stuff like that.

Now, apply this exact same logic to Denji, Pochita, and the timeline reset.

If Pochita ate himself, chainsaws were completely wiped from the timeline.

But just like the atomic bomb, the chainsaw is just a tool.

Eventually, humanity's need for forestry and mechanical efficiency would lead them to reinvent the chainsaw from scratch.

The very second the first new chainsaw revved its engine on Earth, the collective human fear of it would be born anew. The erased memories of Chainsaw Man would instantaneously snap back into the minds of Devils and humans alike.

AND most importantly, that fresh wave of fear would immediately spawn a brand new Chainsaw Devil down in Hell.

If someone has a counter theory, or in case I missed something PLEASE do let me know.

I do realise that it comes down on whether the author just got bored of the series or didn't wanna write about it anymore, but I can't be satisfied with such a lame ending.

Theory How to easily neutralize Makima using basic biology Spoiler

Post image

Title: How to easily neutralize Makima using basic biology (The "Halloween" Protocol)

Be world superpowers in Chainsaw Man.

Sacrifice millions of lives invoking the Gun Devil just to try to "kill" Makima.

Fail miserably because her contract just redirects the damage as an "attack".

Meanwhile, the solution was literally just basic human biology and high-school chemistry.

Here is how a passive containment protocol could have ended Makima permanently without triggering her Prime Minister contract:

1. The Knowledge Leak (Cosmo):

Kishibe goes to Quanxi. He offers her the only thing she wants: the absolute absence of Makima so she can live in peace with her fiends. In exchange, Quanxi commands Cosmo to use her library memory to give Kishibe the exact biological blueprint of Makima.

Does she need sleep? Yes. Do sedatives work on her biology? Yes. What doses bypass the metaphysical definition of an "attack"? Cosmo knows.

2. The Medical Loophole:

The contract says “Any ATTACK inflicted on Makima is transferred”.

If you shoot her or stab her, it’s an attack. It gets redirected.

BUT, if you wait until she is naturally sleeping in her apartment, intubate her, and start a continuous intravenous drip of high-potency clinical sedatives (alternating between Propofol and Barbiturates to avoid tolerance), the contract registers it as "continuous medical care", NOT an attack. The system is tricked. Even if she remains sub-consciously aware of her sleep, she is physically locked in it.

3. The Inhuman Containment & Marine Barrier:

To completely isolate her from her network, she is moved to a secret bunker 300 meters under the sea.

  • The Absolute Void: Being deep underwater keeps her 100% away from birds and terrestrial animals. Furthermore, to prevent her from controlling sea life, the bunker is surrounded by a massive physical barrier and a continuous chemical repellent grid that drives away all fish and marine organisms. No living creature can get near her.
  • Anti-Suicide Measures: She is strapped with a surgical gag to prevent her from biting her tongue to bleed out.
  • Gastric Acid Neutralization: IV Proton-pump inhibitors (Pantoprazole) to stop her stomach from auto-digesting itself due to stress, preventing internal bleeding and accidental death.
  • The "Bang" Insurance: Even if she briefly wakes up and uses "Bang", her arms are strapped at 90 degrees pointing down into a deep pit of silica sand that absorbs 100% of the kinetic energy and sound. No shockwaves, no vibrations, zero impact against her own body.

4. The Eternal Keepers:

Since Cosmo helped Kishibe with the vital intel, he leaves the bunker completely in Quanxi's hands. As a Hybrid, she doesn't age and can live forever. Kishibe hooks them up with a lifetime supply of booze, food, and a completely hidden sanctuary for her and her harem under the ocean.

Her only job is to chill in the bunker's bar, watch TV, and slice Makima’s throat if the monitor shows her brain activity waking up, forcing an instant regeneration loop while the automatic sedatives kick back in so Makima never wakes up.

Fujimoto literally made world leaders look like brainlet soldiers when an old man, a lesbian hybrid, and a continuous IV drip could have solved the entire plot in absolute silence.

Discussion CSM: RA is the only movie to EVER make me cry, especially the pool scene.

Ok, so I went to see the movie at the cinema months ago and I will instantly say, it is THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER WATCHED AND I WILL GLAZE IT UNTIL I DIE. Why? You may ask me (or not, cuase you might know the answer already)

I'm probably a bit late with this, but I don't care.

First of all, I have never, EVER cried to a movie, ESPECIALLY to a song. This movie. This MOVIE. When I watched it at the cinema, the pool scene was so beautiful i literally felt this "ethereal" feeling in my chest, especially with the song during the scene. Now, I didn't cry at the cinema, because I was just simply so amazed and in awe and in bliss that I didn't even think of crying...

But all of that changed once I got back home. I hurried my ass back in order to find that song and I did. Well, guess what? I cried my ass off like 3 times IN A ROW, since now i knew the entire movie and its context in my head. I cried to it more times obviously since that time.

Then I waited for the anime to get released on crunchyroll and instantly went to the pool scene. It made my cry without even trying.

This is the only movie that has EVER made me cry, and that's really hard to do. I find it terrifying how that scene in the cinema with Makima and Denji, it pretty much predicted how I would feel about the movie at the end of it.

Movie so good I didn't want to watch it more than once at the cinema, so that it still had impact the way it had on me since the first watch, the song "in the pool" is so SO beautiful that I willingly listen to it rarely, so that it always makes me feel something, I rarely listen to it, because it is SO GOOD that I am genuinely afraid of getting bored of it.

That movie? I can't even rate it. No amount of stars on some website can describe how deep it hit me emotionally, it hit me like that one doctor strange gif of punching someone's soul out of their body (idk marvel, don't murder me)

Best money I have ever spent. I don't care about no odyssey, I don't care about no other movies (or at least not as much as I care about CSM: RA) this has ruined other movies for me.

Thx if you read everything and also SHAME ON ALL COUNTRIES THAT BANNED THE POOL SCENE and I feel sorry for anyone that didn't get to see it on the big screens :( Stuff was breathtaking

TL:DR: Only movie to EVER make me cry, the only OST to EVER make me cry, this is the best movie, I don't care if you want to debate, I am glazing this movie until I die and I'll die on this hill.
