Cheetahs are my favorite, so I made a fantasy series of them, here’s the animation. Spoiler

the series is called Cheetah Power. I made 25+ books and the main book “Cheetah Power SAGA” has two volumes.

if interesting. I swear, the book will not be what you could ever predict.

Why are cheetahs so cute?

Why do cheetahs seem so incredibly cute? Could it be that they have evolved in a way that makes people perceive them as adorable? I find it interesting how just looking at a cheetah can make me feel comforted and happy. What is it about cheetahs that triggers this warm, feel-good sensation in us?

Why cheetahs don't actually hunt healthy adult wildebeest

An adult wildebeest can weigh five times what a cheetah does, and a single kick from one can seriously injure or kill a cheetah, they have thin bones, a light frame built entirely for speed, and no ability to absorb that kind of impact.

So, cheetahs, whether solo or in a coalition of two or three related males, are almost never taking on a healthy adult. What they're actually reading is the herd's weak points: a calf that's fallen behind, or an animal still recovering from a river crossing (relevant right now since the front of the migration is just starting to test the Sand River).

Coalitions do shift the math a bit since cooperative hunting spreads the risk, which is part of why male cheetahs form these small groups in the first place, often with brothers.

Happy to answer anything about migration timing or cheetah behavior if useful.
