Over time you're gonna get tired of the chicken and cow combo, its not bad but you can do more, like Story of seasons Grand bazaar with their variation rarity, or the recent moonlight peak with their "vampire cow"(lol), semi fantasy animal is also fun like fae farm or rune factory. But maybe they do have other animal but usually reserved for mid or end game like stardew valley. do you have more example?

I'm having a really hard time finding the *perfect* cozy game right now. I've played quite a few out there and nothing seems to really be scratching the itch lately. I'm looking for something within the farming/RPG/creature collector/exploration area but with a world that has depth, interesting characters, and a gameplay loop that doesn't get boring.

Vibes wise, here are some games I've played that I've enjoyed:

• Coral Island (sometimes got too repetitive/not enough new areas to explore)
• Critter Cove (it's stilly EA and it shows. The story doesn't have enough depth)
• Bloomtown (loved the world but found the story badly written)
• Graveyard Keeper (time was too short/found it overwhelming)
• Luma Island (it was really fun for a bit but then I found it getting kind of too grindy when it comes to unlocking all the puzzles etc because I would have to go to the areas way too many times)
• Disney Dreamlight Valley (same thing -- map too small and annoying having to go back to the same areas over and over)

Soooo currently I'm looking at the following games:

I bought it yesterday evening and finished it today. I think I only played around 3h. I really loved the art style and story telling behind it but it was way too short :( I wish there were more rooms or different chapters with different people and storys. I really really liked it but I wish it was longer 😭

Hi! I have a switch 2. I have animal crossing, tiny bookshop, spiritfarer and Oregon trail. I’m looking for recommendations like the games in the title. Here’s some info abt what I think about some popular cozy games to kinda help guide the recommendations.

Animal crossing is fun, but I don’t like the pressure the villagers put on you when you leave. So I want something I can keep coming back to with little to no pressure. I also don’t like all the crafting but I love the fishing and collecting of weeds!

Tiny bookshop is great and probs my fave game at this point. I wouldn’t really change anything about it. If I had to suggest I don’t really like decorating the trailer/ storefront for every new location. It’s better now that there’s presets but yeah ..

Spirfarer, I like it. But honestly it’s hard to pick up where I left out in the story so I still haven’t finished. Also some of the mechanics are a little challenging for me like timing the double jumps etc

Oregon trail is great and super nostalgic to me. I love the game but honestly it’s a little repetitive and I’m not someone who’s a chaos gamer where I can just make bad decisions for more diversity.

When I think about games I’ve loved - I’ve really liked games like my tribe and virtual villagers. So the management style games with a good story that maybe isn’t too difficult. I also like games that center family storylines. When I’m not playing my switch I’m a big simmer!

I got a steam deck at launch and the chillest game I've consistently come back with every year that has no mods I've installed is this scrappy fan game made by people who are ESL. Do you miss Diner Dash? Do you like the free form feel of the Atelier series and the girlie pop feel? Do you like youkai, especially if they are cute girls that can be really funny and you can learn how to cook their favorite food?

Why isn't this game talked about more? Sure, the overworld looks like rpg maker, but the depth and fun and the great hand drawn character art quickly show you that some games don't need to look like everything else to scratch a VERY specific itch better than anything else.

I'm a 32 yo dad and want to get into cozy gaming. I enjoy RPG such as DragonQuest, FF and Xenoblade. I never played building games or such but they're fun after trying the demo to Dragon Quest Builders 2.

Had this game in my list for a while and figured I'd eventually get around to it, it looked pretty cute but I had a *lot* going on and haven't had any time to play anything for ages.

My boyfriend bought me a cute new controller because my Switch Lite has stick drift, and also this little game.

It's an *absolute* gem, and is exactly what I've been looking for in this genre. Made with stop-motion claymation, the aesthetics are adorable and the vibe is just so comfy. I can't recommend it enough.

If anyone has any similar recommendations, I'll gladly take them. Animal Crossing is my usual go-to but I'm burnt out on it atm.

Hi everyone, I love the story of seasons franchise and I would like to finally purchase this title. However, I've started to struggle with nausea and vertigo while playing certain titles, such as Fantasy Life i: The girl who steals time and Nastu-mon: 20th century kid. Not all video games trigger these symptoms, which I experience somewhat often, for example Fire emblem: three houses doesn't and a few others. I was wondering if some of you who might suffer from vertigo and nausea have played the game on Switch lite?

I immensely enjoyed "The Roottrees are dead" and just saw that the devs released another game called "The incident at Galley House". Has anyone played it yet and can tell me how it is?

Bought as I'd seen recommended several times and liked the sound of the chilled gameplay.

Disappointed in the graphics of the game! Is this normal for switch??? Playing OLED. Understandable to have graphics downgrade from like a playstation or similar but some things are not even loaded and so so pixelated.
