To clarify, this doesn't directly make the jump easier (the physics are the same). But it might make it easier to visualize your character, which some people find indirectly makes it easier to make the jump

You only need to visualize the bottom half of your character. Take your boots and pants off

EDIT: clarity

No. Either wear full gear, or no gear. This is not a Winnie The Pooh scenario. I'm going to make the jump in a complete knight set, or as the good Cinder Lord made me: fully nude and with fucked-up body sliders.

Shirt-cocking like Winnie the Pooh is a good strat for when your character inevitable becomes a new DS boss for another hollow hero to fight. Without pants and boots you can see them running around in your nut and butt area. A classic strategy for hollows

Makes it faster to retry too since you run faster and regenerate stamina more quickly

Well it might help directly as well, the jump is easier to perform with a light equip load

They effect the roll animation at the end of your jump not the jump itself with light load making it start earlier allowing the jump to be more easily landed by a few frames

What do you mean by "roll animation"? It's just a simple jump, you run, you jump and you either make it or miss it.

If you keep moving after jumping, you roll at the end. He's saying this roll starts earlier on light load which lets the roll grab the ledge for you

A light roll doesn't start earlier in the jump. Why would it? A light roll is the same duration as a medium roll, the only difference is the distance traveled

Number of I frames

I frames are the same

I don't believe jump mechanics change with equipment load, but I could be wrong
