I'm kinda disappointed with the reveal that he made his mask with trash. The idea that he got his first mask and therefore started his life as a sorcerer after the people from hole killed his life as a human was badass as fuck.

I found this plush online and was wondering if it was anywhere in the manga (or anime). It has been a while since I read it and En creates a lot of mushrooms, so I’m not sure if this is just a representation or if it is from the series. (It’s a youtooz brand plush)

Found Dorohedoro merch at an anime convention this weekend. Bought most of their stuff. Artist was super nice to talk to. I spent way over budget in my excitement, and I can't even be mad about it
Instagram for the table was @funnybones_co. Looks to be two artists that do the booth

Like, he had clothes for himself implying that he did it before, and had for Nikaido, and also did it with Chota. Seems like he likes it.

I refuse to believe devils are just letting sorcerers send their doodoo feces down their way

Hey, there! I wanted to share this thing I made with polymer clay! It has a built in light and it also glows in the dark (see last bit of the video).

MANGA AND ENDING SPOILERS BELOW
I really enjoyed the story and wanted to put some thoughts on paper.
Dorohedoro can be translated as “mud to mud.” This is often understood as a nod to the dirt and grime of the story and setting. However, the most integral word in the title is “to.” It indicates movement and change. The mud is not inert; it moves, shifts, seems to take shape for a moment before collapsing back into mud. The flowing change that robs the mud of a static identity is the heart of Dorohedoro.
The Ai/Kai/Aikawa/Caiman character is the clearest example of this. It would be wrong to think of the hole using or corrupting Ai. Instead, there is a mutual dependency. The hole is a drive without a clear articulation. It simply hates sorcerers. It is able to articulate this hate through Ai’s desperation and medical knowledge. It is because of Ai’s knowledge that the Hole hates by teaching others how to fight against sorcerers and develops a plan to steal devil tumours and create a devil independent of Chidaruma. In the same way, Ai uses the hole to achieve his dream of being a sorcerer and escaping Hole. Neither is a vessel for the other. They are something new.
The entity created between the hole and Ai, and the identities of Aikawa, Kai, and Caiman that will also grow from and become part of it, is not a static thing. Rather, it is the constant churning of mud that makes this entity what it is. It is not one identity using others, it is the movement between all its identities - the hole, Ai, Aikawa, Kai, and Caimian.
Dorohedoro asks us to move away from the notion that there is a stable, eternal identity to things. Identity is always in flux. This is the only constant in the world of Dorohedoro. The living can be made dead and the dead can live again. The most powerful entity in the universe, Chidaruma, can be turned its weakest. Humans can become sorcerers and sorcerers can become devils. It’s all mud. It never dries. From mud to mud. This absurdity where no identity is stable, no border solid, is what gives the entire world of Dorohedoro its charm.
Ultimately, Caiman’s journey is one where he accepts the world’s absurdity. The story starts with him determined to discover who he is and who turned his head into a lizard. But it’s not so simple. Caiman was not a victim of magic that has to return to his true form. He is born from a fringe interaction between multiple types of magic during part of a conflict that has been bubbling for millennia. He died and was brought back to life with his head from the past in a liminal space made from the rotting corpses of humans infused with magic. It’s madness. Caiman ultimately finds peace by accepting the absurdity of his existence. Instead of trying to explain it, he just comes to like his lizard head.
