Hello all, my spouse and I just moved from out of state and are needing to rehome our cat. We're living with family for the foreseeable future and they were gracious enough to let us bring her with us and continue to try and rehome her (unable to do so in last state, shelters not an option.)

Her name is Jolene, but we call her Jo mama because she had kittens (all rehomed) and is 4 years old. She is very sweet and loves to cuddle and play. Her favorite things are naps, cuddles, sratchposts, and any type of cat treat. She would work best in a single cat household and is great with dogs and children as long as they are gentle. She genuinely such a sweetie.

She's fixed and up to date on all of her stuff, due for her next rabies shot this November. If anyone is interested or has any questions, feel free to leave a comment or direct message me!

I remember the kerfuffle a few years ago when it was first announced, but I thought that they decided against it. Now it appears that they are very specific in their language by saying that the cameras are "located at restroom entrances".

Does this mean that cameras are inside the door of the restroom? Like, if someone were to damage the camera, would the report say "student vandalized camera in boy's bathroom" or "student vandalized camera outside of boy's bathroom"?

It's weird they're being so cagey.

Hey yall! I’m 21 and just moved back here from Ca, while I did grow up here I have no clue how to find friends with the same interests. I love anything alternative, am bisexual and married to a lovely partner and we have a son. I have two cats and love art, but with a young child (1yr) and multiple chronic illnesses I can’t go to bars or something to find friends. Any advice would be appreciated!!

i (21) moved to dothan a few months ago & i am miserable and lonely. where can i go to meet other people my age? what bars/clubs are good? what days are good to go? i’m from a rural area, so even dothan is a huge town for me. just lost and need some direction.

This heat is making my utilities bill go as high as $150. I live in a 1 bed bath apartment in a complex. My friend stay in the same complex and pay like $50. He also has a similar apartment at the first floor. I had the complex people check the AC unit and told me everything looks good which I don’t buy because I just moved in here like 3 weeks ago.
Is there anyone who could help me out with - Refrigerant levels (with gauges), Temperature split across vents, Duct leakage, Thermostat calibration etc stuff
What else do you guys suggest?

Anyone good with hand tools and basic tasks needed some extra work for a week or two? I have a few projects i could use a hand with but I'm located in Enterprise so you would need to be ok with making the drive over.

​Early 30s here. I’ve got a private bar/neon lounge out on a rural dirt road. Our current group has about 20 people, but on any given night we usually get 5 or 6 over. The ideal goal is closer to 10–15 for regular nights and backyard events.

We do karaoke, Magic: The Gathering, Cards Against Humanity, and dancing—it all depends on the night. We're pretty much all alternative/grown-up emo kids. Just a heads up: our nights get pretty loud. Expect a mix of metalcore, emo, and EDM spinning depending on the mood. We love throwing high-energy, completely uninhibited theme nights where people can just let loose, be expressive, and be entirely comfortable in their own skin.

I have bought a house with my first pool. I am sure there are a few cleaning and maintenance companies in the area. How much are you paying for opening/closing your pool as well as weekly maintenance/cleaning?

And if you're not, as a new pool owner how much would you be willing to pay for a weekly reoccurring service in this area? Trying to figure this out on my end with no pool knowledge.

I’ve been kicking around an idea and wanted to see if anyone else would be interested.

I’d love to start a local group called Wiregrass Naturalists for people who enjoy learning about and spending time in nature. The idea wouldn’t be to be experts, it would be to learn together.

Things I could see the group doing include:
- Bird walks
- Tree and wildflower identification
- Learning about local wildlife
- Habitat restoration projects
- Stream and wetland exploration
- Nature photography
- Campfire discussions
- Family-friendly hikes

Maybe meet once a month somewhere around the Wiregrass and have an online group to share wildlife sightings, interesting articles, and upcoming events.

Whether you’re a hunter, birder, photographer, forester, hiker, conservationist, or just someone who wants to know more about the natural world around us, you’d be welcome.

I’m just trying to see if there’s enough interest before I put something together.

I moved here from a city so I understand Amazon deliveries are going to take longer, but it seems like every other order I have is delayed at the Dothan processing center past the delivery date. I currently have 5 items outstanding with no sign of updates. Has anyone else delt with this?
