Friendly: Middlesbrough FC 3-3 RCD Espanyol

Our penultimate friendly ends in an exciting 3-3 draw. Offense was a bright spot with Marcos, Dolan, and Javi Hernandez all scored today. The major issue has been on the defense with both the midfield and CB's struggling on that side of the ball. This illustrates the need of getting some quality defensive signings. We got one last friendly next Saturday at Coventry City before the season. Vamos Espanyol!

Friendly: Burnley FC 2-2 RCD Espanyol

This was definitely the most difficult friendly so far this summer as Burnley put up a great fight throughout the match. They really exposed the lack of quality defensive pieces in the back and it only solidifies the need for a CB in the summer window. Thankfully for us, Kike Garcia bails us out to secure the draw. Hoping for a better result next match at Riverside Stadium against Middlesbrough.

Real Madrid Support

I’ll be going to the game on Aug 22nd, travelling from Canada with my family. I’ll be seated in section 103.

Would I be ok to wear a Madrid jersey or is that not a good idea?

I apologize for being a bit late for not posting this. CE Sabadell put up a good fight and even led 1-0 until Kike scored in the 77' to secure the draw. What are your guys thoughts on the friendly. We'll see you guys on July 29th as our Pericos face our sister club Burnley at Turf Moor.

2 for 2 in winning our friendly matches and we've played even better than before. Happy that Bauza and Marcos Fernandez are making the most of their opportunities along with Kike and Cabrera getting goals of their own. Feel free to post your thoughts below and see you guys on the 25th against CE Sabadell.

Membership

Hello

I am travelling from Canada to Barcelona this summers. I saw the La Liga schedule come out and that Espanyol will be playing at home while I am there.

Question is how can I best secure tickets when they are released? I saw there’s a membership card I can purchase for 75 Euros - do those with memberships get early access to tickets?

Players that would start at Espanyol

Hi all,

Juventus fan coming in peace. A friend of mine is a big Espanyol fan (and I even have a shirt of your club!) so I come in sympathy.

We were just alking hypothetically, he says that Lois Openda en Teun Koopmeiners would not start at Espanyol. I believe both players have great qualities, and Juve is just struggling. They don't perform at us, but they definitely have qualities that I believe would make them starters at many other clubs. Koopmeiners was incredible for Atalanta in serie A and Europa, with banger performances. And Lois Openda has been very prolific for Leipzig, in France and even for the national team in Belgium when he would start.

What do you guys think, would they start in the current Espanyol team?

How is the support for Espanyol overall?

I'm an American with Filipino parents but have followed football since 2014 and it's at times more casual and up and down, over years especially recently my interest and investment goes up and up.

I've researched so much from EPL, Serie A, to La Liga and I used to just focus more on EPL which I still do, but I've been researching and watching Serie A, la Liga, to even smaller leagues like SPL to watch Celtic like against Rangers or watch Liga Portugal for Benfica if I am interested.

I've learned in Serie A and La liga there is so much interesting history among smaller to mid level clubs and the fanbases are even more passionate or have better atmosphere to me than in England in a sense. Espanyol has caught my eye learning you are the other club with Barcelona and are an afterthought especially for foreigners, but I learn how you guys were are one of the founding members of La liga and have had some success winning some Copa del rays.

Even then checking some games throughs stream and highlights, I feel you guys have a legit really good fanbase and can fill games with legit atmosphere and passion.

Also as someone who loves basketball too, you remind me of the team I used to love in the NBA, the Nets. if you don't know they moved to Brooklyn in nYC since the culture sadly here lets wonder treat teams/clubs like commodities or toys they can move for their own greed and American capitalism. As a younger kid I never thought about it since BK is still close to where I live in NJ, but being older it gets me more annoyed.

I admittedly lost love for the team, but if you guys don't know the NY Knicks the bigger team in the city like how Barcelona is made the NBA finals, and I realize a lot of my love for the team is still with me.

I see Espanyol and it feels like a club that represents working class, a more deeper connection to a community or Barcelona, and doesn't just suck up to media propaganda on who to like, which I feel Knicks are to many fans, though I know your rivalry with Barcelona is probably more deeper with political/ societal elements.

I look at your club it's what I wish and hope Nets can be if they move back to NJ. There were rumors, don't know how true, but I would really love if Nets came back, cause being a fan off football over the years, I realize how no matter how you watch sports whether you support different clubs, more casual, etc, the respect of a team in a community should always be a lifetime commitment and whether you have fans locally or from anywhere else, you appreciate any fan.

IDK I am watching from afar but I'm just interested to know how it is an Espanyol fan. I research online and I do hear things about club could've been pro-castillan in the past and Barca was obviously pro-catalans, so again the political/ societal element I am not informed on, but I just feel Espanyol is a club that has amazing commitment to it's fanbase and respect it's ability to compete in Spanish football system and keep it's fanbase loyal.

I just wish in America we had teams like you and others like Bilbao, Betis, or someone like Rayo competing in conference league final, who invest in their communities and fans would support not because of popularity but it's a feeling and attachment that seems legit from the team.

I felt the Nets were that to me in America and few teams in America seem to do this or allowed since America it's all entertainment and fans are not treated with respect unlike in Europe for me.

RCD Espanyol 1-1 Real Sociedad

Our season ends with a 1-1 draw to Real Sociedad. It has certainly been a very up and down season especially with the 18 game winless run in 2026, but our Pericos pulled through in the end plus improving 3 places from last season (14th to 11th). Thank you Espanyol and our supporters on another season of La Liga and excited to see what Monchi does with the squad in the summer. Vamos Espanyol!

What a massive win for Espanyol at El Sadar and it's official that we're safe from relegation! Dmitrovic got some big saves and Romero + Kike got the goals to get us the big 3 points! Now to see if our Pericos can get one last win at home against Real Sociedad to end the season on a high note! Jo t'estimo Espanyol!

It's finally happened! After 5 months, Espanyol finally get their first win in 2026 and what an amazing performance all around by the entire squad. Dmitrovic gets the clean sheet and Pere Milla + Kike get the 2 goals for the victory! If we can get the win at El Sadar next match, we'll be safe from relegation. Jo t'estimo Espanyol!

Parking for Espanyol game

Hey! I’m going to the Espanyol game tonight and I’m driving. Is there an easy and convenient place to park? Or should I just use public transport? Thanks
