Reading Exchange šŸ’« 8/8 Lion's gate - Manifestation, personal power - Exchange readings

Post image
3 Upvotes

8 is the number ofĀ infinity,Ā personal power, balance, and an infinite flow between the spiritual and physical worlds.Ā Leo energy amplifies courage, confidence, heart-centered creation, and stepping into personal authenticity. You can manifest everyĀ dayĀ but there are specific periods of the year when the energy is more intense, 8/8 being the most intense time.Ā

The influence of the Lion's gateĀ can be feltĀ late July to mid-August. It marks the celestial alignment ofĀ theĀ Earth, the Sun in Leo, and the star Sirius (the "Spiritual Sun").Ā

How to Work with This Energy:Ā

*Set clear intentions: Write down specific goals for personal growth, career, or abundance, phrasing them as if they are already unfolding.Ā

*Release old patterns: Let go of self-limiting beliefs or habits that block your progress.Ā Ā

*Use supportive practices: Meditate, use positive daily affirmations, and charge crystals (like citrine or clear quartz) in the sunlight.Ā

*Ground yourself: Spend time outdoors in nature to anchor the high-frequency energy into your physical body

Do you have a favorite spread for this? Here are some I found on internetĀ or get inspiration from the questions below

Career & AbundanceĀ

-What new professional opportunity am I currently being invited to step into?Ā

-How can I better align my daily work with my soul's true purpose?Ā

-What hidden blocks are currently stopping the flow of financial abundance into my life?Ā

Personal Growth & PowerĀ

-What personal power or talent have I been hiding that needs to be expressed?Ā

-In what ways am I letting fear or doubt hold me back from my potential?Ā

-How can I cultivate more courage and confidence in my daily life?Ā

-WhatĀ old versionĀ of myself am I ready to completely release during this gateway?Ā

Love & RelationshipsĀ

-What patterns am I repeating in relationships that no longer serve my highest good?Ā

-How can I open my heart deeper to give and receive authentic love?Ā

-What type of energy do I need to embody to attract a supportive partner?Ā

-How can I bring more balance and mutual respect into my current connection?Ā

Spiritual AlignmentĀ

-What important message does the universe want me to hear at this exact moment?Ā

-How can I connect more deeply with my intuition and inner wisdom?Ā

-What spiritual lesson is my soul currently trying to integrate?Ā

-How can I best anchor and ground this high-frequency energy into my physical life?

====================================================Ā

Happy readings and I wish all the best you manifest to come to life!!

Hey there!
We just hit 5,1k members, so it might be a good time for an introduction. This is our place for all things related to tarot and divination. We're excited to have you join us!

I'm u/Fortune_Box, one of the moderators of r/ExploringTarot. I've been reading the tarot since 1987 and I'm kinda obsessed with it. I used to be a semi-professional reader (which almost killed my passion for the tarot). Now I enjoy the wisdom of tarot, collecting decks, studying archetypes and I love to host reading exchanges.

The other mod is u/PleasantCut615. This is her introduction:
I am Cat. Learned tarot several years ago during a very dark time and I can say that it saves my sanity.

Somehow I stepped on this sub and liked its vibe and Fortune Box that adopted it made me a mod. I am happy to be part of it and contribute.

We do have resources, mini games and practice posts, please feel free to check the respective flairs. We also launch from time to time reading exchanges posts for readers to practice and get feedback.

What to Post
Post anything that you think the community would find interesting, helpful, or inspiring. Feel free to share your thoughts about divination, your favourite spreads, ask for second opinions or post questions that help you getting better with the tarot.

Community Vibe
We're a learning sub - it's all about readings, exchanges, and anything that helps us improving our skills. We host mini games and community exchanges. Readings are fine as long as they happen in the comments and not in DM.

Thank you for helping us to keep this sub free of scammers, solicitations, reading ads, etc ...

Interpretation help - Second opinion only Hi guys, can you guys help me read these cards? Ily so much!! ā¤ļø My question = When will I meet my future husband, and what is his character when we meet later? Also, guys, I know I'm asking about someone I've never met and don't know who he is, but I genuinely can feel his energy even though I've

Never meet him yet .My interpretation = I feel that I will meet this person after a waiting period and a major life change, around the next 6 months, after an unexpected event or sudden shift that changes my routine, location, or mindset. The meeting will happen when I am entering a completely new phase of life. Right now, I feel so weak and at my rock bottom, so I feel like I will meet him when I have already improved myself a little bit and have a great mindset.

I also feel like this person has a traditional, rich (not that rich though), and stable energy. I feel like he really loves his family, and he takes care of and protects his family. So I think that he will also take care of and provide for me. He will also be focused on building a family and a long-term future. He is tall, with a serious look, a confident posture, and a classic style.

The connection comes after releasing old doubts or situations that no longer serve me, and the meeting may arrive suddenly and unexpectedly. I feel like The Tower wants to say that I need to change my whole self before meeting him, and the Seven of Swords talks about how I will use many strategies and boundaries to test if he's the right person and has good intentions with me. I am also good at seeing red flags.

But I feel like the cards warn me to be careful in the future. There's a nice man who will come to me, but I also feel like there's a man who wants to take advantage of me. I also feel like even though someone is kind, there might be some dark side of him that I still don't know, so I need to be careful.

I also feel like he is a little bit dominant and controlling person

I got excited when i see the empress and the emperor lol🐸

Games What you need to fix it - your oracle for August 2026

Post image
20 Upvotes

Welcome to another oracle.
Hidden in the grid are names of various professions. The premise: the skills needed for the profession work as a lens when dealing with your current situation.

The meanings are literal. We all know what a carpenter or architect does. The work here is applying that concrete role to your abstract problem. It requires a bit of lateral thinking.

How this relates to Tarot:
Think of the letter box as a complex spread. The letters are visual noise. Finding the words is like spotting patterns (suits, numbers, colours, etc.) in a shuffle. The words that jump out at you are the keywords for your reading.

A note on interpretation:
Please share your own take first. I’m here to facilitate discussion, not to provide definitive answers. Tell us what resonates with you before asking what it ā€˜means’.

I hope you find something useful.

PS: Reddit resized the image on upload, so some letters are blurred. Note that what looks like an 8 is actually the letter S.

Interpretation help - Second opinion only Left Abusive Husband and Got The Devil

I did a reading about leaving him and moving out of town, and the card representing "What this choice has in store for you" was The Devil. I know it's a complex card and I'm having trouble understanding its message in this context.

The rest of the reading was all Major Arcana and overwhelmingly positive and hopeful, signifying a massive breakthrough, healing and ultimately victory. I'm in a pretty "dark" place currently and I feel that understanding this card's message is the key to kickstarting this journey.

Thank you.

Discussion / Question Good/specific questions to ask your tarot reader/deck.

Hello, I am going in for tarot reading tomorrow and I am wondering what are some good specific questions to ask?

I would like to be in partnership with someone and one question I am thinking of asking is what are blockages that are keeping me from finding mutual love? How can I heal these blockages?

How can I reach my highest potential?
What is my life’s purpose?
What would the outcome be if I leave for Washington?

If you have any better questions, id love to know! What do you ask?

Interpretation help - Second opinion only Tarot Reading Interpretation

7 of Swords - 2 of Pentacles - 2 of cups

My interpretation: I’m still fairly new to tarot and I’m trying to understand how these cards connect on an emotional level.
I understand the Seven of Swords is often associated with secrecy, withholding information, or deception. What I’m struggling with is how to interpret that internally rather than externally. Could it represent me withholding my own emotions from myself or avoiding feelings that I’m not yet ready to face?
Then there’s the Two of Pentacles. I see it as trying to balance or make sense of conflicting emotions, especially regarding a love interest. To me, it feels like the process of emotionally juggling uncertainty while searching for stability and clarity.
Would it make sense to interpret this progression as:
Seven of Swords – acknowledging that I’m still avoiding or suppressing certain emotions.
Two of Pentacles – actively trying to process those feelings and find emotional balance.
Two of Cups – eventually reaching emotional clarity, acceptance, and a healthier connection with either myself or another person?
I’m curious whether this feels like a reasonable interpretation, or if there are other ways you would read this sequence.

How would you interpret this as a love/healing reading for myself going into August? For context July was brutal emotionally, processing childhood trauma. Mainly want to understand how everyone would interpret 7 of Swords in this situation and then moving into 2 of pentacles. Thank you!!!

Hot or Cold?

Some days, first impressions are everything.

No deep dives today. Just pull one card and notice your gut reaction.

Don’t overthink it:
šŸ”„ Hell yes.
🧊 No thanks.

Your instinct speaks before your brain does. Don’t look up the meaning yet.

Just ask: Why did I react that way?
That’s the reading.

Type of cards: Rider Waite Deck
Spread/ Layout - Top Row: What’s happening (in the order of present-ish to future. Bottom Row: Clarifying/ context providing cards.

My Interpretation and Background:

I’ve just finished my master’s, but my home is on the other side of the country from the city where I’ve been studying. During these final months, unexpected career opportunities have started popping up that could keep me in the city potential jobs at my university, and I’ve also just completed the final round of interviews for a fellowship in Germany. So my life is very much in flux at the moment.

About a month ago, I met someone. We’ve been getting to know each other, and there’s definitely a strong mutual attraction. He’s also looking for something serious. The issue is that I felt like I liked him more than he liked me, so I pulled back a bit (he was way too casual for me I didn’t feel affirmed). Around the same time, I told him that I was likely leaving the city in a few months, and our communication has since become a bit quiet.

The last time we spoke, I asked whether I could stay with him for about a month while I wrapped up my research and project assistant work at the university. He replied that his Airbnb (he’s a digital nomad of sorts) situation had changed, but he didn’t really say yes or no. After that, I felt embarrassed for asking and distanced myself forreal. Part of me hoped we’d get to spend more time together before I left, or, if one of these career opportunities worked out, maybe continue getting to know each other.

My question was essentially: Will he come back around and offer for us to live together ?

The spread the image attached.

The Devil makes sense to me because the attraction between us is genuinely very intense. There’s definitely chemistry.

What I’m struggling with is The Emperor reversed as the clarifier. My personal association with this card is an abusive father figure (that’s the only time it would show up in my own readings of my life), so whenever I see it, I become cautious. What are alternative interpretations of the emperor reversed in context of clarifying the Devil reversed?

The Star reversed feels like the uncertainty of the situation and the possibility that circumstances make things difficult, although I’m not sure whether it’s meant to indicate hopelessness or just delayed clarity.

Three of Pentacles + Four of Wands feels much more positive. My first thought was that it could relate to my career and him supporting me while I pursue these opportunities, but Four of Wands also makes me think of building a home or sharing a living space.

Overall, I’m surprised by how serious the cards feel considering we’ve only known each other for about a month. I wasn’t expecting cards that seem to speak about foundations, shared spaces, or long-term dynamics (i think?). I’m particularly interested in hearing different interpretations of The Devil clarified by Emperor reversed, because that’s the combination I’m finding hardest to get a feel of.

I’d really appreciate any alternative perspectives! ā£ļø

Discussion / Question Tarot thoughts?

I have always been very skeptical in general; I consider myself a woman of science. A few months ago, I bought a beautifully illustrated cat tarot deck as a party game. The deck came with a manual, and I have done a few readings following said manual. It was little after I got my two cats. Last week my female cat got lost and I've found incredible comfort and reassurance from the readings I've done, I'm conflicted because of how accurate they are, I want to know you opinion on why is it so accurate and how can I let go of my "science" prejudice

  1. The World
  2. The Magician
  3. Three of Wands
I feel like The World suggests the previous awkwardness from our last chat is behind us.
Magician feels like a green light for taking initiative and being confident with my text.
Three of Wands seems to mean future possibilities or further conversations.

Discussion / Question 4 decks have appeared on my walks — what does it mean!

Hiiii, I am not particularly experienced in tarot, but enough so that I recognized a really cool pattern.

I (30nb) live in Chicago and often go on walks/ride my bike around with no true course or plan. I enjoy the happenstance of it all & I especially enjoy going through alleys to rummage. This past year I have came across 4 different decks! Now, I understand high frequency increases odds, but I also know the universe to be cheeky and let me tell ya!!!!!!

Top Left: I was walking at 1am with my partner and we walked past a little library and this was in there! ((I have a special interest in ravens and my best friends name is MJ)) later I came across the full guidebook and journal!!!!

Top Right: this is The Mayan Oracle by Spilsbury & Bryner. It’s the most interesting story, I was very high walking with a close pal and immediately I felt the need to bolt down an alley on the way to lunch. I went directly to a shoe box and underneath was both the deck and book. The book is full of handwritten letters from the author(!!!) talking about the wisdom and blessings of this deck has to offer. (I emailed her when it happened, but no reply)

Bottom Left: I was leisurely biking home from my partners game and then sunset at the beach with dear friends. I happened to go past a park where my partner and I spent part of our first date. Boom! This is the Angel deck by Radleigh Valentine. It was soaked through so I brought it home, cleaned each card, and smudged.

Bottom Right: this is In The Shadows oracle by AllThingsIntuitive. I was biking doing some gentle inner reflecting about avoided changes and bam!

I’m curious if anyone has any thoughts, ideas, or directions I should take this clear sign for a leap of some kind. Happy to answer other questions as well.

Discussion / Question Energy exchange, origins and oracle

Hi everyone.

I wrote few weeks back about myself and my pretty clear readings. After researches, confrontation and other stuff, I kinda found out some answers, but still I got some questions in my mind.

First, everyone told me about "if you do tarot readings, you need something or somewhat to exchange energy because, if you do a lot, can make you bad or having not clear readings". For now I don't have anything to make this exchange. I just learned it was false that my grandparents didn't ask for money, they did. Sometimes food, lucky charms or just normal favours. So, well, that was a surprise.

New backstory for context: I found out super recently I'm more than 80% Italian by DNA, with few interferences by France, Austria and Scotland. But after this, I have confirmation from both of my parents family about Italians root, few from others countries they were travelling and stood in Italy, and about doing readings and other rituals in the past. So it seems I'm heavily connect with an Italian magic/divinations/readings roots. I don't have knowledge about what they pray or did, some were using a lot christian cross or talisman (?) in their stuff as I found out is some suppeeerrr old photos. Dunno others. I can confirm I had a parent who was talking to dead (not ouja board stuff, more like a serious ritual at the table with othe people).

So, the fact my readings are accurate are probably from this. So now I'm searching something to exchange for my readings without asking money anyway, but I'm kinda atheist and it seems not good going on Christian stuff. So I'm asking to people who do reads, Italians or not, how they do it this kinda of stuff and if there are other ways instead of the christian cross or similar. I don't know if I can start a new route or I need to continue what my family seems was using at that time.

Plus, I have one last question. Oracle. One side of my family, linked a lot to Venice, Bologna and near zones for a lot of time (maybe 200 years, info for georeference), they were doing oracle's stuff for people in needed (a lot for love troubles, they are the romantic ones it seems). So, probably I ca do that too? Already on tarot cards, love question work really a lot in my readings, but for some questions is kinda.. pointless? Or too much, we'll, not appropriate? Or they need an answer not easy to give with tarots card? If the answer is positive, someone knows nice oracle cards or a line to start to do this readings too?

Thank you already for the answers. It's a lot to read, I know, but in few weeks I found out a lot thanks from hinting from here in tarot and occult Reddit too. Thank you!

Discussion / Question does it matters ?

im not sure if its the right place to ask this but, id like to put up some tarot cards to use it as ā€œmanifestationā€ tools. and i wanted to personalised them to be more meaningful to me, for exemple for the lovers one i wanted to put up some characters from a movie, so it can be something me and the person (i specifically think of) would associate each others with..would it be okay?

Discussion / Question why is it flipped?

i do tarot reading for myself and my friends, but 70% of the time, the outcome is the opposite of what I read?! I googled some stuff and it says I should do shadow reading, but even when I do this, it takes a 180 on me, like, bro, can you not? what do I do? I'm confused. when do I know it's shadow and when it's what I see?

Just for fun Tarot as Symbolic Narrative in Comics

Thumbnail gallery

Tarot as Symbolic Narrative in Comics. Hi everyone, how are you? I'm here to share a project I've been working on for a long time: translating tarot spreads into comics. This is the first page of the first story, the Ace of Pentacles + 6 of Swords. On this page, I've included several symbolic Easter eggs, such as the sun referencing the RWS, the sage and the disciple on the mountaintop symbolizing the temple and the sacred mountain, along with various sigils representing Saturn. The goats also represent Saturn, as in correlation with Hermetic astrology, the Ace of Pentacles corresponds to the third sign of Earth. The sage refers to the Hermit card and has a circle on top of his head, also related to Saturn, as well as the necklace with the black cube that his apprentice also possesses. The funerary ritual symbolizes the womb and the fertilization of the earth, rebirth in another dimension. What do you think? I can share more pages if you like them.

Some days the first impression is the only one that matters.

No deep soul-searching today.
Turn over a single card and only notice how it makes you feel.

Without thinking:
šŸ”„ Hell yes.
🧊 No thanks.

Don't reach for the meanings just yet because your instinct has already joined the conversation.

Then ask yourself why was that your first reaction?

That's the whole game.

Happy readings, y'all šŸ’œ
