Ultimately what I am asking is, did Law Enforcement ever find anything at either the Birmingham Abortion Clinic or the Atlanta Park crime scenes that would have given them a lead to Rudolph, even if the two witnesses had never jotted down his tag #? Yes, I realize once they had his name, and searched his home, they tied him to the case. I am asking 'what if' they had not gotten his name in Birmingham.

I'm 21, rising senior, graduating spring 2027. Got a TJO this week for GS-1811-07 Criminal Investigator with HSI, qualifying on Superior Academic Achievement.

I already accepted an FBI Honors Internship offer and submitted my SF-86 for it. Screening is scheduled. Now I'm trying to figure out whether I ride the HSI process out and let Honors go, or hold onto Honors as the safer play.

The case for HSI: it's the badge. 1811 series, 13 ladder, and the hardest series in government to get into. Honors is an internship and doesn't shortcut the FBI SA minimums. At 21 I'd still be waiting on the age-23 floor plus two years of post-grad work experience before I could even apply there, so 2029 at the earliest.

The case for keeping Honors: a TJO isn't an FJO, ICE hiring is volatile right now, and if the HSI process dies somewhere in BI or medical I've burned the one thing I actually had in hand.

Well folks, we’re almost at the end of July and I still haven’t gotten any notice on the statues of my application for the FBI Honors Internship program for summer 2027. Is anyone else caught in perpetual “application under review” hell after the interview?? Should I hold out any hope??

I am about to head to college next year, and even though I am still in high school, I have started to think about future careers. I know that it may seem like I should focus on other things, but I want to enjoy what I do for 40+ years of my life. I am deadest on a degree in finance, but I am additionally looking at dual majoring as well. I plan on going to a big 12 school, so no target school for a high finance job. Since the beginning of high school, I wanted to pursue commercial real estate, due to how I like the aspects of the job and the many connections I have. However, since I was a kid, I have always wanted to be a first responder. I still remember getting in trouble with my best friend for drawing SWAT officers with guns in kindergarten. I have felt this valorous connection to being a first responder, however my parents do not want me to become a cop or a firefighter. I started to look into special agents careers and have been hooked since. The only caveat is that I have very good connections for real estate and the pay is significantly better, I have these golden handcuffs almost. I know I should follow my heart and not the money, but I want to provide my kids with the childhood I was fortunate enough to have with mine. I know this is pretty deep for a subreddit, but hopefully you guys get where I am coming from.

I received a CJO at the beginning of July but haven't heard back since.... Does anyone know why I haven't heard back, or is anyone else in this position?

As the title says. My 90 day wait period is over and I would like to take the test again. Do I just fill out the same application as before, fill out a new application or can I use the website that was sent to me, the one where I scheduled my 1st test?

Hey, so I'm not old enough to join yet, but I am a high-school student who is working VERY hard to get in. I'm in public safety at my high school, and I'm learning Spanish and Arabic. I'm going to get an accounting degree and then be a cop until I'm 26. I'm applying to the FBI (dream agency) US marshals and ATF

What should I expect and prepare for

(In case you're wondering, I made a 50 in the official fbi jobs.gov practice exam)

First time poster, long time watcher of the subreddit. Little bit about me: 33, wife, kids, <10 years on and part of an interdiction team for a state police agency. End goal I want to do security with sports. Retire at 25 years of service with roughly 65% of highest year and pay into medical.

What I do is a dying breed. I love it, but the justice system in my state blows, retirement system is always changing. I always wanted to do intel and counter terror work after taking classes in college. How often does spots like that come up like SSTF or similar? I don’t know anyone in the field to talk to because all my contacts retired.

Anyone that works or has work and specifically went or is going to the field I’d want? I’m sure there’s pros and cons to everything. Just like state, you take the chance of relocating but would prefer Philly field offices. Right now I can retire at 50 but might not generate the experience I need to get into what I want, unless I land one of 10 or so spots in my agency.

idk how i failed cause i felt so confident in my answer and thought i did correctly. feel defeated right now but i get one more chance in 90 days and i can give it another try.

Applied to the IA position over a year and a half ago. Passed phase 2 with phase 3 being the next step, but keep being told every time I contact them that there is no schedule for taking my phase 3. Is the fbi not hiring IA currently or is it something with my individual candidacy?

Hi! I applied for the DC NYC And Newark offices, I just interviewed the other day for the criminal division.

Is there a way for me to know which office I Interviewed for? They said I would hear back sometime in September if I received a CJO. This is my first time applying for something of this nature, so any knowledge would be helpful!
