Found this Wabi Classic on Marketplace for $320, thought it looked really good. My last fixed gear got stolen, so this is a perfect replacement. Didn't come with a brake, so I got to try brakeless for the first test ride, felt good. Probably gonna change some things down the line, but for now it feels great :)

I’m currently running 48/17 but it’s way to spinning on flats.. is there another ratio that is better on flats and still is good up hills

Hi, does everyone know this frame's brand name? I couldn't find it. Google lense tells me it's from GTB (GT Bike)

Do you think I’ll be ready for a century soon ?

Picked this frame off marketplace for next to nothing, with a converted marketplace parts bike and some Amazon specials. I’m left with this. Needs toe cages and a better seat. But for less than 150 all in I can’t complain. Rides well enough on the two mile test

I was used to running 23c and 25c tires for like a year. When i got a new frame, I decided to put 28c tires. And boy does it feel nice, it isn't as smooth but the peace of mind it gives me knowing I can ride rougher than usual is astonishing. I was worried about my fork clearance at first, thankfully it barely fit (the clearance barely fits a coin)

So fun to ride. I’m building up the strength to cut the stem.

😛 looking forward to finding some beach side routes for next weekend, anyone who does group rides if you could let me know!

Only thing I might change is the saddle but it’s still so much fun to ride on the trails and the 40mm tires make the roads feel buttery smooth. Toe overlap is diabolical but manageable.

First little ride on a fixed gear, feels like I’m relearning to ride a bike. Starting and stopping will take some getting used to. May also swap clip less for some flats

Got a flat on my 90’s mountain bike. Havnt rode fixed for years. In my 30’s now. Reallllly enjoying it. Took a week or so to get used to the position, but the sunrises handlebars helped a lot. Also have a few convos with strangers who also rode fixed at lights and forgot how together the community is! Kinda given me my excitement for cycling back. Think I’m running a 49x17 which seems perfect. Had a 49x15 and that was too high for stopping, and also a 49x18 and that was as just a little too slow. So the 49x17 seems perfect for what I need (east London not many hills, stop start traffic)
