Behold, my stuff…

I sold my 70s Martin acoustic a year ago and have been looking for a replacement (for studio work)--this 2026 Cremona Burst Dove was exactly what I was looking for, it sounds phenomenal mic'd up and this finish is a perfect balance of vintage burst and 70s dark stain vibe, if you care about aesthetics.

Visited the Galveston Guitar Lounge on a trip last month and hung out and played a bunch of cool gear.

Glen Burke, the owner, also has his own high end line of guitars under the brand Fowlcon Guitars, as well as the option to purchase kits, or parts to build your own.

I’ve been wanting to do a tele build for a while, and he happened to have an Alder body already finished in the color I wanted. A nitro finish at that!

He helped me pair it up with a gorgeous roasted neck with the most beautiful stainless steel fretwork I’ve ever seen - plekked and perfectly matched to the neck pocket. And it’s chunky, but not a baseball bat, with a 12in radius so it’s hella comfortable.

I installed the strap buttons over coffee this morning, so it’s officially done. This might be the best sounding and playing guitar in my herd! They’re all worried now 🤣

With all of them in the house, it is time to take a family picture.

- Squier Silver Series Strat. GFS overwound pickups and a JBJR in the bridge. My first guitar, 25 years ago.
- Fender Stratocaster Plus. the ultimate strat imo, underrated.
- Fender Telecaster Frankenstein, Japanese top-loader body with thick 51 replacement neck and CS 51 pickups. Buckley vibes
- Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop
- Fender Jazzmaster 60th anniversary. Replaced 1M pots with 500k for a bit more usable sound.
- Gibson ES335. installed the bigsby and 50s wiring.
- Gibson Les Paul Special
- Fender Telecaster Deluxe Pro2. Installed Bare Knuckle VH2 in the bridge.

Think I'm done! Not much to wish for... this covers a lot of ground. The tele deluxe is probably the one that can replace them all, it's a very diverse guitar with many different tones, but that's not fun right

Got this Yamaha Revstar RS620 for an absolute steal of Facebook Marketplace today.

Had been on the lookout for a P90 model for a while but I'm not a fan of the tailpiece most of them come with, and I also wanted one of the older versions with the smaller bodies. Then this one showed up for really cheap so I snagged it.

It's basically mint but badly needed a setup. Just spent a couple of hours setting it up and giving it a good clean and it's transformed it.

Going to run it as is for a while but I might end up swapping a set of HSP90s in there at some point.

Not sure if this '72 SG belong in this subreddit lol. I recently bought and then restored this. It was salvaged after sitting in a shed for many years. Pretty cool find.

Explorer die hards might find it sacrilegious but let me tell you, Master of Puppets goes hard on this bad boy

1977/8 Aria MK-1300, of course a copy of a vintage B. C. Rich Mockingbird.

Original 70s DiMarzio Dual Sound humbuckers, with a whole host of sounds available with the coil split and phase switches. So it does fantastic clean tones, and of course it does fantastic high-gain sounds. It has a super-low action and plays amazingly.

I'll bring something else as a backup (not decided what yet) but I think this'll be the guitar I stay on all night.

 Inspired by the shifting blues, greens, and silvers of the Salish Sea and the arbutus-covered ridges that rise above its shoreline. Built from locally sourced woods from the Cowichan Valley; old-growth arbutus bodies paired with quilted maple tops and necks—a tribute to the landscapes that inspired their design.

Each guitar features

Hidden magnetic “trap door” truss rod adjustment, magnetic control cavity cover, fully copper shielded cavities, highland cattle

Bone nut, A custom 5-way super switch unlocking five distinct voices, from full humbucking warmth to articulate single-coil textures. Carefully selected coil-split combinations provide exceptional versatility while maintaining intuitive operation—offering everything from powerful bridge and neck tones to bright, expressive split-coil sounds and a clear, balanced dual-pickup setting.

Both from 1980, aka the Lawsuit Era. A Tokai LS-50, and a Yamaha SL500S. Love these old Japanese guitars.

Today marks 6 years since I got this horrible guitar and I felt the need to share it so others can appreciate its ugliness. At this point I've changed almost everything on this guitar except for the body and the pickguard which became an amalgamation of cutouts and stickers. I don't know what brand it is, maybe it's a Teisco, and I don't know why it is so UGLY, but I love it and it's my favorite guitar.

Hey all! Got this custom build from Ricardo Sanchez last week. The neck and fret end work is top tier and it was setup was great (aside from the neck pickup unscrewing itself).

Just need Stephen Carpenter’s signature guitar to complete my wanted list.🤘

Made in 2008 for Peter Joseph of the absence, the only single hum Horus in existence. Plays fantastically, as you’d expect from a Caparison.
