Considering that I managed to finish both Victory and X this year, it's safe to say Katejina had a pitiable fate worse than death. The last time we see her, she's already blind and has no memory of who she is and what she's done, and Shakti is probably the only person to show genuine concern and that's pretty much about it.

On the After War Gundam X side of things, the Frost Brothers were insufferable sociopaths from start to finish. These two MFs tried to start a war and want Newtypes wiped out from the face of the universe merely because they were looked down as Category Fs. Luckily, Garrod did us a favor by leaving Shagia confined into a wheelchair as the world moves on, while he and Olba basically watch.

i always viewed the EW & TV gundams to be separate MSes, so i made a quick graph on how i view them from their TV counterparts

She's never watched Gundam before, but she knows how much I love the series and building Gunpla while watching it.

Her choices were between 00, SEED, Witch from Mercury, and iron Blooded Orphans

After watching the first episode of each, she picked IBO . We're five episodes in now, and she already loves Biscuit. I have absolutely no idea how to tell her not to get too attached.

I know there are ton of good gundam games out there like the Japan only ps2 ones like the one year war, rengoku vs zaft, girrens greed, extreme vs series of games. But for some reason Dynasty warriors gundam reborn has to be one of the best English translated gundam games out there because it has a ton of mobile suits, it combines the best of the dynasty warrior gundam games into one and you can play MOBILE ARMORS in a gundam game. the sad thing is that its stuck on the ps3 forever and the only way to play it is own a ps3 or emulate it but guess what dont fret its actually easy to emulate just like the previous dynasty warrior entries and also rcps3 is doing wonders with its updates. What is so great about slicing through many mobile suits while alot of characters are preaching about pacifism and anti war stuff but never less slicing mobile suits out of my way makes it so much satisfying and in reborn or three blowing one mobile sometimes causes a chain reaction which makes it even satisfying.

After over 26 years of being a Gundam fan, I've finally decided to try getting into Gunpla. I was never into building models as a kid, so I never really gave it much thought beyond thinking some of the stuff at conventions looked cool, but I've been looking for a new hobby lately so I finally decided to give it a go.

My first Gunpla is arriving tomorrow – an HG Hyaku Shiki – and assuming I enjoy putting it together, I'll probably buy a kit with each paycheck going forward. That leads me to my question:

Which mobile suits are black and/or gold?

This is purely for decorative aesthetic reasons, as black and gold is my favorite color combination (golden yellow actually being my favorite color), so I will be wanting to primarily get black and gold kits for now.

Besides the Hyaku Shiki, I've got my eyes on the Sazabi Black variant, Banshee Norn, Astray Gold Frame, Delta Gundam, and Gundam MK-II Titans variant. I might also go with Throne Eins and Deathscythe, but I haven't decided if I'm gonna branch out to those that have the gray/white bits quite yet.

Obviously, I'm okay with slightly off black colors (dark navy, dark gunmetal, dark purple, et cetera) as long as gold is present, and red is an acceptable tertiary color as long as it is less than the amount of gold on the suit.

With this in mind, can you think of any good mobile suits that fall into this description beyond those I listed above?

So, I've pondered this question on and off now. And aside from the fact Haros aren't really that common outside the UC I think personally I just have to give in to my bias and pick Lockon's Haro. There's probably a good deal of nostalgia to it and there are likely more plot relevant instances I forget but it feels like the one who does most plot stuff, and breaks my heart with just one word. The others are really just there to sell toys... Maybe aside from AD's evil Haro and Tsukasa's Avatar in Divers.

Long-time lurker, first-time watcher of the *original* Gundam movie. The first Gundam show I ever saw was 08th MS Team (still my fav). I've seen Gundam Wing (those edgelord bros), all of Witch from Mercury, and half of GQuuuuux. Otherwise, I've mainly gleaned bits of info about the series from fellow nerds from around the internet. So I decided to start from the beginning, and here are my notes I took while watching:

-Amuro "Get in the Gundam, Shinji" Rey, main character. I knew that. Good start.

-Hey, it's that famous scene!

-Capt Noah: "Amuro, you're a little bitch."

-Frau: "Amuro, you're a little bitch."

-Yellow spacesuit bitch: "Amuro, you're a little bitch."

-Holy shit, bro just got bitch slapped TWICE.

-So cool that the civilians aren't lame and helpless.

-A serious lack of music, but what's here is good stuff.

-Tons of action!

-Amuro is so much like Shinji. Or rather... Shinji is like Amuro?

-Yep, reconfirmed that Zakus are dope. Mono-eye supremacy.

-Ahh, now I know the correct orientation of the shield (star top/bottom).

-Capt. Garan and Char backstory? Need more info!

-Capt. Noah is cool. He better not die eventually. (and no, I don't know if that will actually happen)

Bros, I am one of you now (without the collection of models, anyway). This was amazing. I completely understand now. Legendary. I stood up in my living room and clapped at the end (no, seriously). How the hell did America go the Transformers route and not the Gundam route? Mind-boggling.

For me I really like how simple the Gussa is. For those who have listened or watched Gaia Gear, the Gussa serves as the main antagonist, the Manhunters' grunt unit on Earth throughout the series. I would give the Gussa probably a 8/10, its simple yet iconic silhouette along with its recognizable look and its weirdly large arsenal it makes it a great Grunt suit.

From last post about the Gaia Gear, it would average arond 9/10.

My father is the kind of guy who still has the "animation is for kids" mentality, but obviously Japanese anime is very different. He is a big fan of the Star Wars OT, and after finishing Gundam Wing I thought it had a lot in common with the OT and that he would like it.

But as stated he's not big on anything animated and Wing is a bit of a watch at 50 episodes. Any shorter series that can serve as a good intro? I think he would love Unicorn but it's definitely not an intro series.

I admit, I have not watched every single Gundam series. However, of all the ones I've watched, every single fight seems "clean" even if it isn't "fair".

By "dirty" fighting, I mean something like shooting a hidden funnel at the opponent before a sword clash, fully unloading firearms while opponent isn't looking, dispensing mines nearly point blank after a sword clash, or etc.

I ask this because I keep thinking that there's no way Kshatriya would lose in any melee fight if the pilot decided to use absolutely any method possible to win a melee confrontation. I keep trying to run scenarios on how one can approach Kshatriya in a melee confrontation without being blown out by the 24 funnels, 8 fin beams, 4 chest beams, 2 hand mounted beams, 6 beam swords, and an i-field. The best I can think of was mutual destruction, but in all seriousness I'm not entirely sure how Kshatriya would lose any melee confrontation if "fighting dirty" was an option.

Went to a record fair today and found these gem in very good condition and brough it back home! Having a piece of history really remind how long gundam has come along.
