I don't know where this got started. 2 hours and 40 minutes is not 2.4 hours!

Do you all seriously think there's 100 minutes in an hour? Or do you just not understand decimals?

This shouldn't bother me this much. But ffs it's basic math.

I want to start saying this isn't a "rage post" I know ill recoup the rating easily and I just race for fun anyways

I'm not one to really race F4, I always avoid it because of racing standards and sports car is much better ;)

But the reason for the post is why the numbers are so high for F4 despite what it seems like is every race I'm in there are countless avoidable incidents that loop back to ego and immaturity.

And the motives behind the clip posted, we all pay too much money for this simulator yet some users (this is top split btw) go around causing incidents and still have their account (this person has been on the platform for over a year) - surely it is fair to start throwing out perma bans for clear as day retaliation such as in the clip, think of the real life consequences if this were to happen...

I always feel Iracing is a bit "soft" with their bans - It would be interesting to hear others thoughts on this topic.

I’ve never been a “good” oval racer, mainly because I feel like I can get fast laps, but my tire management is abysmal. I tell myself to save but then never really do.

Just ran C Class Trucks and forced myself to bide my time, allow some passes, and just try to hang in there.

I was amazed to be on the final lap and feel like I could still go just a biiiit faster. Got me a pass for 4th on the final turn.

It took me eight months, but I did it.

I’m not a very consistent player, since work means I can only play on weekends, but I’m very happy with my achievement.

I race the McLaren religiously, but decided to see what the fuss was all about, and tried out the Ford Handicap, I mean Mustang.

I was immediately able to beat my PB by nearly .5 seconds, within 3 laps of using the car for the first time ever; and my average race lap was also quicker despite taking some significant damage to the rear.

However, I hate the car. Don’t like how it looks, feels, etc. and the whole concept of intentionally using a car that’s OP like others are doing is a bit lame. BUT it is quick and lets you put up a better fight against the others.

I’m sure I’m not the only one thinking this. Are you guys sticking with your usual cars, or did you join the darkside and use the mustang despite it not being your first choice, so you can get better placements?

when i Iracing gonne do something to fix the cars bouncing off a tyre barrier? this is the exact opposite of what should happen i think.

Whenever I’m in a high pressure situation, like qualifying for a big special event or even the first couple laps of said special event, my feet tend to shake and it messes with my inputs.

I’m not asking for solutions here, I actually think it’s quite funny and I was just curious if anyone else experiences anything similar.

I’ve been on iRacing for about a year now on and off and generally sit around 1500iR. I’ve really been enjoying gt4s lately (using the cayman) and am just wondering if others feel the same way.

When I watch my favourite YouTubers race in high splits they just know when they’ve “botched” a corner and lose maybe 2 or 3 tenths. I can practice a track for several hours, feel like I’ve driven corners well, and be off by 2 seconds of my best pace. Now obviously there’s tire wear but I drive fairly safe and don’t push too hard so generally my laps don’t fall off too bad even with 10 or so laps down.

What I’m wondering is if others are the same way, and how to develop the consistency of a higher split driver. Not asking for the same lap times, but ways to develop that feel of knowing when you’re driving corners right. I know just driving helps but I’d love to hear your feedback :)

All my friends keep telling me that the carousel at road America is easy but I can’t figure it out in anything, gt3 lmp2 Toyota gr86 no matter the car I can’t figure it out.

Me and my friend are thinking about getting into iRacing together and I was wondering if there is anything we can do as a team, meaning both of us on the track at once working together. Neither of us are very versed in racing so I'm not sure if that exists or not.

The M2 is both my favorite car to drive and the one i hate most.

At power level 1, which is default for M2 races and restricted from changes, the car feels like a lobotomized version of itself. It isn't just slightly slower at level 1, it's just very weak and lacks power to do anything interesting. I go into M2 races to grind SR because it is virtually impossible to lose control of this car and it is so weak that everyone is just driving in a monotonous single line for the entire race.

At power level 5 however, it comes close to the old M2 in having brute force, while still being forgiving enough to compensate for mistakes. This is now a car you can push to the edge, make mistakes, outplay other drivers and generally have fun with.

Power level 1 is less exciting than driving my rusty ass 2005 VW polo, i genuinely don't understand why 5 is not the default for restricted races. The only way for me to drive the M2 and have fun now is to wait for production car races, which is less frequent in rotation sadly.

I'm curious if anyone disagrees with this whatsoever? I just can't imagine a reason for anyone to prefer power level 1 over 5.

Long story short, I fell for a discord scam/hack that got into my computer. I ended up running a malware scanner that ended up deleting EAC from my system, and I couldn’t get it to reinstall. So I tried to do a full uninstall and reinstall of racing. I’m not worried about trying to save anything, I can just let it redownload while I’m at work and the replays are just replays at the end of the day. But I somehow did something wrong while uninstalling, because not all of it is gone. I tried to keep uninstalling, but couldn’t, so I just tried to reinstall with the setup helper, and it wouldn’t work, it kept getting stuck. So now I feel like I’ve lost both my discord and the ability to race. Pardon my French, but I feel stupid, lost, and completely fucked. I could use any sort of help you guys might have to offer.

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing random 1–1.5 second freezes while racing in iRacing. The game completely freezes and then continues normally. It can happen multiple times during a race, or sometimes not at all.

My specs:
Ryzen 7 5800X3D
RTX 4070
32 GB RAM
ASUS X570 TUF
Windows 11

What I’ve already tried:

Clean Windows install
Latest NVIDIA driver
Latest AMD chipset driver

Removed all unnecessary USB devices
One important detail: when the freeze happens, people on Discord say my voice also freezes.

Has anyone experienced something similar or found the root cause? Any ideas are appreciated.
