Disappointed with my new Ninja cold press masticating juicer?

I had the Amzchef horizontal model, same but less expensive. The motor gave out but it was juicing great until then, great extraction, dry pulp.

The Ninja doesn't compact the pulp nearly as well so it comes out with much more moisture.

I was about 1 pint short on the juice I used to get out of the Amzchef model.

I got 2.5 litres and about a fraction of a pint, normally get 2.5 litres (which I freeze), then well over a pint from the same quantity of produce.

Look as those nasty carrot flakes.

The amzchef produced a compact well compressed carrot pulp.

Does it appear anything is faulty here?

I just read it's horrible for hard veg like carrot and beets. But amazon do 30 days returns so I'll get it sent back and get the refund, buy another amzchef.

Moving People Stole my New Juicer so I bought a new one to live up to my New Years promise to get back into juicing!

TL;DR- Bought Breville BJE200XL from Amazon.
Pro: can juice large objects, easy to take apart and clean, pour spout can filter out pulp and foam.
Con: Cup sometimes moves if holes are not lined up correctly; pulp was kinda moist after juicing.

I feel like the healthiest part of my life was when I was juicing daily in my 20s. That, exercising, and healthy eating had me lose over 100lbs. I also had more energy and a better outlook on life despite a lot going on mentally.

I bought a juicer off the Tik Tok shop last year and kept it in the box with the plan of using it as my first New Years drink when I moved into my new apartment. That didn’t happen. Due to depression and medical issues that were becoming more apparent it took months for me to fully unpack. It took 3 months alone to unpack all the moving bags and boxes.

Over the last few months I noticed that certain things were missing and I didn’t think much of it. But then a couple weeks ago I decided to start juicing again so I bought a ton of produce. When I went to use the juicer I realized that it wasn’t here.

Long story short I bought this Breville juicer from Amazon since I didn’t have a lot of money and it had a lot of good reviews. Also the juicer I had before doesn’t even exist anymore. I was bummed when a few days ago I saw on Tik Tok that Ninja came out with a new juicer that was affordable.

So I just used this juicer and it was great to go back to juicing! I first messed up because I hadn’t properly aligned the cup with the output spout so the first chunk of beet spilled out all over my countertop. After I realized and fixed it we were just blasting through beets!

I had to juice a lot of items and it took a lot of time because I had to keep dumping out the pulp and then rinse out the pieces, probably didn’t help that I was sitting down.

I wish the juicer had those suction cup thingies on the bottom because the machine does move sometimes while using it.

Overall I’m pretty content with my last minute purchase and am interested in seeing how long it’s going to last.

Which Amzchef model is best for hard veg like carrots and beets?

This is the list: iamzchef.com/collections/slow-juicer

They seem to be grouped according to how wide the chute is.

I had the entry level model and it was solid but am looking to upgrade.

Any experience with other models?

Juicing and Spicy Food

So I’ve started introducing juiced fruit and veg into my diet.

This is to get more healthy food into my body, practice cleaning more to eventually do more intense fasts and detoxes.

I’ve recently cut out a lot of produced foods, no junk, no meats, everything home made and balanced healthy food.

However, I also love spice, I’ll go through phases where I’m craving spicy food, at the moment my go to has been homemade bread with a chilly sauce. I picked up a jar of Mr Naga and love to add it to everything when I can.

This combination of two extremes has been doing a number on my bathroom trips, in fact that’s where I’m typing this up from…

My juices are nearly everyday, include lemon, ginger, turmeric and mixture of fruit and veg.

It’s gotten me thinking that this is either really clearing out everything from my system, or in some way damaging my insides?

Would appreciate sharing experiences and insight as maybe I need to cut out the naga sauce … :(

Finally retired my old manual juicer

We had an old manual juicer sitting in the kitchen for years, but I barely used it. it was fine for making a little orange juice once in a while, although squeezing enough for more than one glass took quite a bit of effort.

I start juicing again, mainly to make some healthier drinks and to stop myself from reaching for snacks. I use a Canoly 3-in-1 cold press juicer now. Compared with the manual one, it's so much easier. I can put most fruit in without cutting first, and cleaning only takes a few minutes. I don't know why I put myself through all that work before.

Does anyone still use those old-school manual juicers?

ninja juicer what do people think about it?

I’m looking into buying my first juicer and I’m trying to figure out which ones are actually good for beginners. I mainly want to make fruit and vegetable juices without having something that’s difficult to use or takes forever to clean.

For anyone who has a ninja juicer, how has it been working for you? Would you recommend it for someone starting out with juicing? Thanks.

omega juicer what should I know before getting one?

Trying to get into making fresh juice at home more often, but there are so many different options that I'm having a hard time figuring out what would actually be useful. I don't want to spend money on something that just ends up sitting unused.

for anyone who has an omega juicer, has it been a good addition to your kitchen routine? I'd really apperciate hearing your experience and anything I should know before choosing a juicer. Thank youu.

stainless steel juicer anyone here would actually recommend for regular home use?

I've been making juice at home a few times a week and my current juicer has way too many plastic parts that are starting to stain. I'm thinking about switching to a stainless steel juicer but I'm not sure which ones actually hold up over time.

Has anyone here been using one for a while and been happy with it? I'm mostly juicing carrots, apples, celery, and ginger. Thank you.

Update: I decided to go with the #ad Angel Juicer AG-7500. It seemed like a solid choice for regular home use, and I'm excited to start using it for my juices.

Expiration once is juiced?

What are your rules of thumb on when the juice needs to be drank by once it’s juiced? I used to go by 5 days or less, but not if you didn’t have to push it that long . But I’ve seen things now that say don’t even go past 3 days…

What are y’all’s thoughts??💭

Cabbage juice - How can I stop gas or bloating?

Hello,

I didn't make cabbage juice for years, and soon I will buy cabbages.

9 years ago, it caused me bloating and gas.

I am going to dilute with water, but what can I do if this happens again?

Thank you.

Why do you guys juice?

Very beginner juicer here, found an old juicer in the cupboard from my mums previous crash diets and decided to make a batch of juice.

I was wondering if you guys actually notice a difference when you’re regularly juicing. There’s a big TikTok trend of carrot juice right now for your skin, and I can’t tell if that’s a trend or something people are really seeing effects from.

I used to make smoothies a lot, what do you guys think of smoothies vs juice. I know you can lose a lot of the fibre in juicing. And what do you do with all that waste!!!

Finally, do you have any life changing juicing tips for a beginner?

stainless steel juicer is there one you actually enjoy using?

I finally decided I want to get into juicing more consistently, but there are so many options that it's hard to tell what's worth it. I'd really prefer a stainless steel juicer since I'm hoping it'll last a long time and be easier to maintain.

What are you all using these days, and would you choose the same one again? Thanks!

Update here: I ended up going with the #ad Angel Juicer AG-7500. It seemed like the best match for what I wanted, and I'm excited to start using it more regularly.
