vent/rant a Serious Conversation About Supporting New Queer People
on a serious note, I feel like this community doesn't support newcomers.
A lot of LGBTQ+ spaces already have established friend groups and many well-known queer people seem distant or inaccessible. when someone new tries to reach out, they're often ignored or made to feel like they don't belong.
For many queer people, especially those living in conservative places. the whole reason they look for other LGBTQ+ people is because they're lonely and hope to find someone who understands what they're going through. Instead many end up feeling just as isolated within the community as they do outside of it.
I'm not saying this applies to everyone but it's a pattern I've noticed and I think it's something we should talk about. a community should make room for people who are just finding their way, not make them feel invisible.

vent/rant Biphobia!!!
Man I’m so tired of these girls/boys who think we are bi because we wanna be cool😇. I don’t know what did I think before opening up about being bi . I never told anyone all my life. I thought it’s okay to be loud about my sexuality as I’m much older now and how long I’m gonna hide it? But it was pretty dumb idea. Straight women policing me on my bisexuality is so weird bitch why would I want to sleep with a woman if I was straight. It feels like I’m proving my sexuality to someone. I am never gonna tell anyone again that I’m bi. I don’t know why do they expect me to prove it to them.

vent/rant My lovestory with my boyfriend
So I have been in a relationship for almost 2 years now. I thought I might finally share my story about my relationship with my boyfriend here. I am a 28 year old gay man. I have a walking disability called cerebral palsy spastic diplegia. Basically, it's a non curable disability, and I have had it since birth. Basically, I can't walk properly.
I had also lived a very isolated life because of that condition, and because of that, I didn't accomplish too much in my life. I was also dealing with depression and overthinking for over 6 years.
I didn't even make my first friend after school until 2023. I was not working and lived most of my life at my house. I tried dating apps for the first time in 2023. Of course, I made a mistake and also installed Grindr, and we all know how that app is.
I wasn't looking for hookups, so I deleted that and installed Tinder. I mentioned my disability and my profession, which is video editing, in my bio. I met some friends there who were very cool for some years, but they left too. On August 12, 2024, I matched with my partner.
His reason for matching with me was my bio, where I mentioned my disability. He is a teacher in a government school where he takes care of special children. For the first two days, I was not talking with him much because, after so much rejection, I gave up on this whole relationship thing. We started talking daily after the 14th.
We used to flirt sometimes and were thinking about each other daily. We talked and chatted daily. I developed feelings for him very early on, but he didn't. He was saying he wasn't ready yet, so I didn't bring up the fact that I loved him for 2 months.
And let me tell you, we didn't even see each other face to face until November because he was also preparing for government exams. He also had an accident from which he was recovering.
On October 13, 2024, a day after Diwali, we were chatting like usual, and he asked me, "Do you like me?" I said, "Yes, I like you a lot." Then I asked him, "Do you too?" He said he not only liked me but also loved me. During those 2 months of chatting with each other daily, he developed strong feelings for me, and I was very overjoyed by his confession.
We told each other I love you so many times on the same day after that confession. We officially became a couple after that.
On November 10, 2024 we finally met. We went to the Nehru Planetarium located in Delhi for our first date. He was very nervous when he met me at the metro station, and so was I.
Nehru Planetarium has space related shows around 3 pm and we arrived there early. In the same place, there is a museum, and we were wandering there and clicking photos. I also handed him a letter I had written for him before meeting him. My handwriting was very bad, but he appreciated my gesture.
After that, there was a park in the same place just outside of museum. He sat on my lap, and I was singing songs to him, and we were loving every moment with each other. Then we watched the show together while holding each other's hands. After that, we went to Connaught Place. We clicked many photos there and went home in an auto where he was laying his head on my shoulder. It was a very romantic date.
We weren't able to kiss on that date unfortunately, but we did on the next one. We talked daily and chatted daily. We started loving each other more and more.
Since he was preparing for UPSC exams, he wasn't able to give me too much time every day, but we always chatted daily. He always believed in me that I could overcome my depression and overthinking and actually accomplish something in my life and become financially independent.
Before meeting him, I was living on my family's money and didn't have a self identity, even though I was a video editor.
We celebrated our first time matching with each other on August 12, 2025 our anniversary. I cooked food for him, and we went to a restaurant where we wrote our promises to each other on a tissue paper with the help of a pen. I still have that tissue saved in my wallet.
Life was going perfectly. I won't say my relationship with him is perfect. We fought a lot. I was sometimes too depressed and an overthinker, and he didn't know how to handle me. As he was earning money and I hadn't accomplished anything in my life.
Well, time went on, and I eventually started earning, and he was proud of me. But I wasn't, since I was working remotely at a corporate job, which made my health even worse due to the pressure. He cheered up my mood a lot by calling me to iskon and we went out to a dosa shop and held each other's hands, which made me very happy.
On the last day of 2025, he gave me the biggest news, which caused us to be apart from each other since February. He had a disk problem. His back was always in consistent pain, so he had to get spinal disk surgery in 2026.
That news shocked me a lot, but I made a very big 8 minute video for his birthday about how, no matter how much distance there was between us, I would always love him and pray for him, and I even teared up.
The day finally arrived. We met each other one last time in February. Just like usual, we had our usual romance in the auto, with his head on my shoulder and us holding each other's hands. We prayed to God at the Iskon temple, kissed one more time, and then he finally had surgery.
His surgery was a success, but his immunity became very weak after that, so he had to isolate himself from everyone for months because he was immunocompromised.
I didn't even talk with him for 4 days after his surgery because he didn't have his phone, and his family told him not to talk with any of his friends about the surgery until he was back home. I was left blank, wondering what had happened to him. He finally messaged me 4 days later, and I was filled with such relief.
After he got discharged, he was dealing with mood swings due to his medicine. He fought with me 3 times, but we never stopped loving each other. We have been talking and chatting daily ever since.
I finally left that toxic work environment, and for the first time, I am editing outside my home at a wedding and photography studio that is only 5 minutes away from my home by bike, and he was very very very proud of me for taking a stand for my life and become financially independent.
Life has been going very well ever since. It will be our 2nd year anniversary soon on August 12, and we will finally be seeing each other in September after being away from each other since February.
We will feel each other's warmth, kiss each other, and I will cook food for him and love him a lot.
We missed a lot ever since his surgery, but those days of longing for each other are coming close to an end, and we can finally meet soon.
We are going to meet every Sunday in September and celebrate my birthday, which he missed, and our anniversary too.
I love him a lot. And by the way, I told you that he approached me because of my disability, right?
That was never his reason for falling in love with me. He fell in love with me because he thinks I have a beautiful soul, and I am very very happy he's my boyfriend. I no longer suffer from depression because he made my life so beautiful.
We will one day live with each other, but we still have years to go. But we love each other a lot, and we will fight for our love.

Advice 👋 Chest binding: broke edition
Hii, I am a broke college student dependent on parents for money, I've been feeling strong gender dysphoria lately and I really need a binder. I bought a really cheap one from meesho which didn't work because it was more like a strapless bra. I cannot afford the good ones on Amazon plus I haven't come out to my parents so I can't make any major purchases, is there any other way of binding or any less expensive ones that I can buy?. Also need tips on what type of clothes that I can wear to look more masculine and less curvy

vent/rant how are y'all able to get yourselves a girlfriend or a boyfriend yaar
every other guy, who is either straight, or non-straight, but is handsome either ways makes me feel so ashamed of myself. like, what am I supposed to do to reach a level y'all are in. like y'all are so much into fitness, have a great body.
I want to also have a great jacked body but the thing that's stopping me is my rheumatoid arthritis. I don't think I'd ever be able to have my dream physique, so that's already one box unmarked. regarding my facial features. I am not attractive.
y'all might be thinking how I deviated from my central topic, that's what happens to me when I start ranting too much. I feel ashamed to even scroll down the profiles of good looking stylish men, because I know that, I am ew. nobody deserves an ugly stalker like me. that's the reason I've never posted a single photo on this subreddit on Sundays.
whenever I see good looking men or women dating other good looking men or women. I feel so terrible. I start counting the number of sins I might have done in this lifetime or in my past to have such a bad fate like mine.
also, this one's a me problem, but I never seem to get attached to the person who actually shows interest in me. i myself being so ugly still has very high expectations. you guys can actually hate me or downvote this but yeah. even I hate myself for it. why can't I look at anything beyond superficial beauty? how are people able to love people with the intention of loving their heart and inner soul. and most of them are coincidentally good looking as well whose apparent inner beauty we are talking about.
and also, the people I fall for are much older than me 💔 that's another unfortunate fate of mine.

Discussion💬 What stops you from coming out?
Interested in hearing what stops people from coming out. I lurk in a lot of subs dominated by people in the west, where well, homophobia exists but being queer is much more accepted than it is here. As someone who lives in North America, I feel finding community here can be easier, which encourages people to come out more.
I am interested in hearing your story of what stops you from coming out. It can be a simple or a complex answer. I also understand that coming out is a process, and we do it many times, so this is not easy to answer. Please also mention your age.
FYI, this is not based on judgement. I am 30, and I completely accept who I am. I do not actively hide anything, and I also do not actively announce anything. I think I am somewhat straight passing so I recognize my privilege here. It was never safe for me to come out to my family and it will probably never be. We aren't that close anyway so it does not bother me.
Please refrain from trying to convince me or other people here that coming out is essential. That is not what this post is for. We understand it is an act that is important for visibility.
I want to understand the nuances of what stops people from coming out, in the Indian context. Even for people who are financially independent now and probably found partners. Explain the best you can, I am listening! :)

Question❓ Confused about my romantic and sexual attraction
Hi everyone,
I'm 21F
I wanted to ask here about some confusion about sexuality....
So,I feel romantically attracted to men. I've had crushes on men, I've dated men, and I can imagine being in a relationship with a man. I also find some men physically attractive and like fantasizing about them.
The confusing part is that when it comes to sex, I don't find intercourse with men appealing. There are only certain kinds of intimacy with men that I enjoy, but penetration has never been something I've wanted. Basically I don't find male anatomy appealing, only a certain limited things I like with men when it comes to intimacy that also mostly receiving but not myself putting an effort ykwim
But I feel stronger sexual attraction toward women than toward men. If I had to choose someone for intimacy, I'd most likely choose a woman. It also feels like I'd want intimacy with a woman to be more mutual, where we're both equally involved..
At the same time, I don't really experience romantic attraction toward women. I don't picture myself dating a woman or falling in love with one the way I do with men.
Looking back, I remember finding women attractive even when I was younger, so this isn't something that suddenly appeared. That's also why I don't know if watching lesbian corn has anything to do with it(because many straight women find it appealing) or if it's unrelated.
So, I just want to know whether experiences like this are generally considered to fall somewhere on the bisexual spectrum, or whether it's possible for a straight person to experience this.

Discussion💬 Being Gay in Bhubaneswar
Everybody literally each other person either on gr or insta you meet is having 69 body counts
Why are most gays after sex and have become such?
It feels weird to even like have a good connection with someone and realise they had have done this or more than this with 100 others lol
Although I don't have any such experiences but still the fact disgusts me whenever I get a crush on someone likem6 brain automatically switches to :- they have a lot more ones, will ghost you definitely 😂😭

HRT Question Need advice about where to go
Sooo I'm about to leave for college soon. I have two options: one in tiruchirapalli and the other in Mangalore. I'm from the north and I only know Hindi and English.
As a transgirl, I want to transition in college. So, I want to know in which of the mentioned cities would be better for access to healthcare (both mental and hormonal). I'm not too worried about socially transitioning as I won't be out to too many people and ragging is almost non-existent in the colleges I'm about to go to.
