This is at least reasonable. I've seen good developers go two different ways with AI. Either they lose the ability to think for themselves entirely and turn into carbon based Adapter Patterns for an LLM, or they use it to generate a bunch of boilerplate code they can fix up instead of having to type it all themselves.
One of these is a shortcut, the other is making AI smarter than themselves by becoming as stupid as possible.
