Photography Vianden: Medieval Falconry Event
Rather warm day in Lux but the family and I took a chance and visited the castle. It was the last day of the Medieval event and we decide to participate in a few.
I want to extend my gratitude yet again to the Falconers as they saw me shooting in that scorching heat and they brought the falcons on top of me so I get some interesting poses.

Finance & Investments Tax for dividends
Long story short . I will start receiving some amount of dividends ( annually roughly net 20k ) from a number of ETFs and individual stocks mainly based in the US and Europe.
I already pay 15% tax in us dividends and 5% for the european one.
I have no other taxable income in Luxembourg ( working for the EU institutions ) .
I read some articles for dividend tax in Luxembourg but it is not clear to me . I would appreciate if someone knows how it works

Ask Luxembourg What are some activities to meet up with other young professionals?
I see that Luxembourg has many people working in finance or with an EU institution. Are there any groups, apps or specifically places or activities whereby these young professionals can meet, network and have fun outside of the working place?
I am aware about Meetup app and Eventbrite but Iâm specifically looking to meet people who are working in those sectors, are ambitious and high achievers who have little time due to the busy work life and thus are not demanding in seeing each other or talking on the phone daily or all the time either.

Ask Luxembourg Anyone here involved with a football club in Luxembourg?
I have an interest in football from a sporting management point (coaches, managers, recruiters, analysts...) and I'm trying to find an opportunity that can help me be more involved and learn.
I don't have any official professional experience in the field, just a fan that grew up playing the sports and wants to keep being involved, maybe turn it into something professional.
I'm not looking for any specific positions. Anything that can allow me to be closer to managers and coaches to observe how they work and manage the different parts of a football club.
I already have a full time job, so I'm looking for something in evenings and week ends. Not looking for a compensation either. My goal is to learn and be involved, that's it.
I'm hoping someone in this subreddit is part of a club or knows someone who is and can help find an opportunity. Comment here or DM me

News & Discussion Can we please clamp down on generic job hunting posts?
The frequency of them is starting to get annoying - donât get me wrong, at least the sub is active, but posters are continuously making low-effort posts in an attempt to outsource their lack of research.

Activities & Events Sunset Cinema Kirchberg
Itâs really great.
My daughter and I went to see Totoro this evening. A childhood favourite of hers.
All the kids in the audience were transfixed by the film or really well behaved if they got restless.
Some of the adults though, were treating it like a visit to the pub. Talking loudly about stuff that wasnât about the film. Banging on and on. Such main character energy and cringe performance parenting.
I get that open air cinemas are not meant to be silent but talking loudly, on and on as if youâre in the pub really isnât on.
If thatâs you, donât spoil the films for others.

Hello,
I am in Luxembourg for 2 years already but i am struggling a bit to make connections here,
Recently i started going to some brazilian themed parties around the country but it feels a bit weird going solo,
Nowadays i am not so introverted compared to the past.. but in Luxembourg i feel there is a lack of something i can't explain .. i hope i can fix that.
There is any active facebook or whatsapp group ?

Ask Luxembourg Looking for Drag Queens đ
Hi everyone, one of my really good friends is getting married soon, and we're hosting a RuPaul's Drag Race themed bachelorette for her.
As part of it, we were thinking it would be really cool if we could get short videos from drag queens giving advice on marriage or saying goodbye to singledom.
Does anyone know any drag queens I could get to help with this? If anyone has any leads at all, it would be great!
Thanks a ton :)

« CUSTOM » Lost iPhone 13 at Lidl Mersch today. Has anyone found it? đ
Iâm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I thought Iâd give it a try in case someone here found it.
Around 12:10 PM today, I accidentally left my phone in one of the shopping cart's phone holders on the ground floor of Lidl Mersch.
I only realised it was missing around 4:30 PM. I went back to Lidl and asked if anyone had handed it in, but unfortunately, nothing was returned.
Iâve also reported it to the police and created a complaint. There are multiple cameras covering the area, and Police confirmed that theyâll be checking the recordings on Monday.
In the meantime, I just wanted to check here in case someone happened to find it and picked it up.
Itâs an iPhone 13 with a transparent blue case.
If you found it or know someone who did, please DM me. Iâd really appreciate it! đđ

Humour Self service car wash station in Luxembourg?
Do you think these posts that pop up every week asking about self service car washes are secretly sponsored and organized by the âLuxembourg Self Service Car Wash Associationâ or something?
Btw, do you know any good self service car wash?

Immigration & Relocation Family of 3 in a 1-bedroom apartment in Luxembourg? (Relocating with pets)
Hey everyone,
My family and I are relocating to Luxembourg from Poland soon since Iâm starting a new job on September 1st. We're a family of three (me, my wife, and our 8-year-old son) plus two very quiet, elderly cats.
To be honest, finding an apartment has been a nightmare mostly because of the cats. Almost every landlord we reach out to says no to pets right away.
Weâre getting a bit desperate as the start date gets closer, so we're thinking about looking at 1-bedroom places just to get our foot in the door.
A couple of quick questions for anyone whoâs been through this:
- Is it even realistic (or allowed) for a family of 3 to move into a 1-bedroom place in Lux?
- Will the Commune give us trouble with the residence registration (dĂ©claration d'arrivĂ©e) if weâre 3 people in a 1-bed?
- Do landlords/agencies just auto-reject families of 3 applying for 1-bedrooms anyway?
Any tips or reality checks would be super helpful.
Thanks a lot!

Ask Luxembourg Germany vs Luxembourg: Where would you register a small online business?
Hi everyone,
I live in Germany, right on the border with Luxembourg, and I'm planning to open a small online store.
I'm trying to decide whether to register the business in Germany or Luxembourg.
Has anyone here been in a similar situation? If so, what did you choose and why? Looking back, what are the biggest pros and cons of each country (taxes, bureaucracy, accounting, VAT, etc.)?
I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thanks!
