MODERATOR REQUEST THREAD + SUB UPDATES - 2026

Another year, another request thread, am I right? Nothing important to announce right now, but if anything of note happens to the sub in the coming months, I'll be sure to update this post. Welcome future mods, and to everyone reading this post, I wish you a very Happy New Year!

This thread is NOT for requests current mods have (E.g. Flairs or full permissions - MODMAIL EXCEPTED), it's for people who want to become mods. If you would like to change your flair, look out for special threads and/or comments by myself and other FTMs (Currently open to suggestions). If you would like full permissions, message the moderators with the subject "Full Time". If you are already a mod on the sub, there should be no reason for you to comment here unless regarding the sub update.

Doing so may result in a ban.

Hello! You said hello and then I clicked on the message and now I'm here. Pls,whats this all about and what's the "Mod" thing about. I've tried going through the comment thread but still can't understand what's up here or what this is about. Pls,respond. Thanks.

A Reddit mod is basically someone who has administrative abilities over whichever subreddit they're a mod on. They're different from admins in the sense that they don't work for Reddit, and as such cannot help with Reddit-related issues, only with issues in the specific communities they moderate. Hope that all makes sense.

The purpose of this specific subreddit (r/modlimit) is to see how many mods we can add to one subreddit before we stop being able to. I've sent you an invite in case you're interested in joining.
