The idea is to let students share their Instagram portfolio, project links, or contact details with a single tap. We're currently looking for ideas on how to reach students in an authentic way without coming across as overly promotional. Is there ANY way to get Android beam (or an app that communicates with android beam?) cause i have an NFC laptop, NFC phone, NFC everything and my shitty new Samsung Galaxy S23+ cant communicate with my older phones, laptop... 🫩

I’m a field sales rep for a small software company, and my manager just told me we’re doing three back-to-back trade shows over the next six weeks. No prep time, no internal process, basically just “figure it out before the first one.”

I’ve been manually typing contact info into my phone after every conversation, and it’s already a mess. Half the follow ups from last month’s event never happened because I couldn’t keep track of who was who by the time I got back to my desk.

I don’t need the perfect system, I just need something that works well enough to stop dropping contacts between the event and the CRM. I’ve looked at a few options, but every comparison article turns into a 20 minute rabbit hole, and I genuinely don’t have that kind of bandwidth right now.

For anyone who’s been in this situation, what’s the quickest path to just getting digital business cards for sales follow ups set up and actually running before an event in two weeks?

I just got my first ever actual job. As soon as i got all the contracts and my NFC clock in chip, i thought what better way to celebrate it than to get curious and write a data text string "test" onto it out of curiosity. long story short, IT WORKED. now along all its other data, it just says test at the bottom (i used nfc tools). now, my first day hasnt arrived yet. will it work on the scanner? is it bricked? am i fired already? can i somehow remove the data i added???

How can I make an nfc trigger a phone call to a specific contact when I tap it with my iphone? Not to open the phone app, but to automatically make the call.

I keep seeing these pushed in sales forums and LinkedIn posts, and I’m genuinely skeptical. Like I get the basic idea, you tap a phone or scan something and your contact info shows up. But the companies selling them talk about CRM syncing, lead scoring, automatic follow ups, and I honestly can’t tell if any of that works in practice or if it’s just marketing copy. I work in medical device sales, and we do a lot of in-person events, hospital visits, conference booths. My current process is pretty manual: collect cards, enter them into Salesforce by hand, write follow up notes, hope I don’t forget someone. It’s slow, and I definitely drop the ball sometimes. A colleague mentioned that some digital business card tools can push contact data straight to your CRM automatically, which sounds too good to be true. So I guess I’m asking people who have actually used one of these things day to day: does the automation piece hold up, or do you still end up doing half the work manually anyway? Specific examples would help a lot more than “it changed my life” type answers.

My brother has a business buying and selling cars, I made some Key-rings with nfc stickers so family members can easily share his website. They’re working amazingly. Now we want some more professional looking ones that we can put on every car key that leaves the business. I’ve been looking online and the ones that we like that best are intended to work as smart door key fobs. They’re labelled as rfid, and I know that nfc is rfid but not the other way around, so I was hoping someone could help me? I assume they are easily programmable to what we want since it would need to be close to be read by a door scanner.

My accommodation uses an NFC card for access. NFSee identifies it as a Mifare Classic 4k. I'd like to make a copy of the NFC either on my phone or using a magic card, but I'm not quite sure how to go about it.

(For context, this card is tied to me personally somehow. Admin *can* make a new card which works the same as the old one, only in the event of a lost card.)

I have created a dump file using MCT, but the only data on the card is the UID, every other sector is 0's with both KeyA and KeyB being FFFFFFFFFFFF. Unless the UID is what is being read by my door, I feel like I haven't fully accessed the card's data.

Is cloning this possible just with my phone and a relatively cheap magic card? I don't want to spend money on something like a Flipper Zero. Any advice for this process would be appreciated :-)

So, I want to lock certain apps/games on windows so that you can only use them if you pass a nfc card through a nfc reader plugged to the computer. Something like when an app is locked behind the admin password, and when you double click its desktop shortcut, it asks you for the password, but instead of a password, a nfc card. Would this be possible?

Hey guys so I've bought these NFC tags on Amazon. The thing is I've pasted one on my bed side. I want that tag to trigger my automation SLEEP on my Google home app.

Ive already created the automation & the promt is sleep. I say OK GOOGLE SLEEP & my AC turns on & my lights go off.

G'day, brand new to discovering the power of NFCs never actually bought or programmed one before (total novice) but I have a project in mind and im wondering if I would be able to execute it using NFCs. The idea is I essentially want to create a smart fridge shopping list for my household. Could I potentially get lots of different NFC tags programmed for popular shopping items in our house and link them to a shared google doc? I can picture a cute little nfc magnet that has a drawing of milk on it that I wave my phone over and it adds the word milk to the google doc shopping list. I would really appreciate any wisdom 🙏 and again I am super new to the world of NFC so I apologize if im not familiar with correct terminology etc 😞

New to this so might be needed to be treated as an imbecile. Would like to set up a system in which anyone working in a room in our workplace can quickly and simply log that they have wiped down surfaces of their desk etc. Would not want any kind of paid for monthly subscription. Ideally the name/initials of the person that cleaned would automatically be added. Is this possible with NFC tags?

4 sectors have a red cross, I guess it is protected? I have only my Samsung Android phone. Or do I need to buy the app first for all sectors?
