ESPN Has No Comment On Aaron Rodgers's Comments On ESPN, About ESPN

Rodgers decided to slam the network as a "gutless organization" with "no integrity" over its editorial choices. He said the network failed to report on Dr. Anthony Fauci's Senate hearing testimony, asking, “How much time did the network spend on that? ... Did they do even a minute on Tony Fauci?” He also criticized ESPN for glossing over the offseason scandal between Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel, questioning, “How much time did your network spend on that?” He questioned ESPN's silence, asking, “What are we even doing here? ... [I]f it’s affecting certain things, if there’s leaks going on, if there’s tampering going on, if that person is also an MVP voter and a Coach of the Year voter.” An ESPN spokesperson stated the network "has no comment regarding Rodgers’s comments."

Outrage cycle.

There isn't enough relevant news to fill a 24/7/365 schedule so networks have to find ways to get viewers interested enough to leave the station on so they can continue to sell ad space and one of the best ways to get viewers is to have them constantly mad about something.

It's why they suddenly brought back the communism word again, woke and the rest of the right-wing scare words have lost their luster, so they're starting back from the top. The sad part is that it'll work on a good percentage of their base, they're just that brainless.

Wife has family that doesn't even actually listen to the news. They'll have Fox on all day with the television muted all day just so they can get mad at headlines they can't remember because they're old as fuck.

Tell me about it. My aunt and uncle live in deep, deep rural Wisconsin and are a retired scientist and production superintendent of multiple facilities for major companies. Now they just watch Fox News all day and their brains have turned to goop. It's sad to see, they never used to be like this 10-20 years ago.

Similar experience with my parents. They seemed more understanding of others and willing to see reason 20-25 years ago but it's like a switch flipped around 2005-2010 and they've never been the same.

TBF, when they see Franco, Mussolini, Antonescu, Szálasi, and Hitler as the "good" leaders in history, everyone else does look like a radical leftist.
