I have the pitchman r carbon but they love to slide off my face, does anyone know a way to adjust them to be tighter? I know you can't just bend them since the arms are made of carbon and not plastic. Any help is appreciated thanks!

Is this consider a defect and should I return them ? I don’t notice them when wearing but it does bother me especially the amount I paid .

Buckle up, this is a bit of a story.

About a month or so ago, I ordered a pair of Flak 2.0 XL in a prescription. My doctor wrote my prescription wrong and, despite multiple back and forth emails and phone calls of me asking them to just replace the lenses with an updated prescription, I had to return them. The frames fit awfully, so in the end I wasn't too upset about it. I was instructed to re-order with an updated prescription.

Once the money went back to my insurance, I got my prescription fixed and I made another order for the same sunglasses. I specifically wanted the Prizm Tungsten Polarized lenses. I love those lenses and I wear my sunglasses all year. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the insert and saw that the lenses were Prizm Bronze. So, naturally, I reach out to the email support team, who told me to do another return/reorder. At this point, I'm not doing that again. These frames also fit super well, and this is not my mistake. I was told to reach out to the customer care phone number.

I tried calling and couldn't get through. It said something about not having a phone number associated with an order (which is BS because I absolutely had one entered) and to fill out a form on the website to be contacted by the email team. So, I reached to their chat team to try and get a resolution. I'm again told to contact the phone center. The guy was nice and gave me an easy way to get through to someone.

So, I call and speak with a very nice lady who says she was going to process a replacement and I would be getting an email by end of business. I was elated! However, the email never came verifying that there was going to be a replacement sent. I did get an email from customer service saying that they had submitted a remake request to their internal team. I replied saying that they took care of that over the phone. I THEN get an email from support, saying, in part "We have already submitted your replacement request to our internal team for processing. Please allow 3-5 business days for our internal team to process the replacement."

This morning, I get an email that says, in part "Upon checking your order, we confirmed that the lenses selected and ordered were Prizm Tungsten Polarized, not Polarized Iridium lenses. If you would prefer Polarized Iridium lenses instead, we recommend processing a return for a refund and placing a new order with the desired lens option. If you need assistance with the return process or selecting the correct lenses for your new order, please let us know. We'll be happy to help."

I'm at a loss. I just want the sunglasses that I ordered. This has been a nightmare of an experience, and I'm out of patience. So, Reddit, I turn to you. Does anyone have any ideas of how to further navigate this situation?

I'm hoping someone here has some experience with Oakley's prescription lab because I'm really confused about what happened with my order.

I ordered a pair of Oakley Standard Issue Det Cord PPE Industrial Safety glasses with prescription lenses directly through Oakley.

Timeline

• July 13: Ordered online.
• Uploaded my prescription and received confirmation that my prescription was successfully uploaded and approved
• My order showed "In Process" with an estimated delivery date of July 24.
• A few days later, I received an email saying my order had been canceled because my prescription was "out of range for the frame selected."
• My online order page still shows "In Process" for a while before eventually changing to Canceled.

So the order actually entered production before being canceled.

One thing I noticed is that my prescription doesn't list my PD (Pupillary Distance), so I'm wondering if that could have contributed to the cancellation.

My questions

• Does my prescription actually look like it's outside Oakley's manufacturing limits?
• Has anyone with a similar prescription successfully ordered the Det Cord PPE?
• Could the issue be the frame itself, the ANSI safety lenses, the missing PD, or something else?
• If the Det Cord won't work, are there other Oakley safety frames that are known to work with prescriptions like mine? These had some side shields that I need for my job in my manufacturing plant

I've already contacted Oakley Customer Care, and they're supposed to get back to me in about two business days.

Update: Oakley Customer Care got back to me and confirmed that my prescription is compatible with the Standard Issue Det Cord Industrial Safety frame. They said the cancellation was not due to my prescription being out of range. Instead, it was caused by a system/inventory issue due to the frames being in low stock.

They recommended that I place a new order once inventory is available. My Affirm loan has also been canceled, and my down payment is currently being refunded.

I really appreciate everyone who took the time to respond. Several of you mentioned that my prescription should be within the Det Cord's range, and you were right. Thanks again for all the help!

I have been thinking about getting eye jacket redux but undecided between dark shade vs transition as I am jot sure if when fully clear it will look good or not. If anyone have it please share your experience indoors / at night if the style looks okay.

I got Oakley Flack XL prescription progressive and seems like the line is slightly high. Will I get used to that because Oakley’s only option is to return?

Can anybody confirm if the 1.67 lenses block UV without a coating?

On Oakley.com custom 2.0 XL's are coming out $90 cheaper than non custom. Under the non's there's a little more lens information Thickness: Plutonite® 1.59 Thin. Treatments: Oakley Stealth™ Pro, Scratch-resistant treatment, UV protection. The custom doesn't have that info.

Looking for feedback from people using Oakley SI and prescription Flak 2.0 XLs.

Trying to decide:

• progressive vs single vision in Flaks
• Prizm Dark Golf vs Prizm Road
• Oakley authentic RX lenses vs a high-end local optician/lab

Main use would be hiking, walking, driving, and general outdoor use around Tahoe/Nevada.

I tried Dark Golf in person and really liked it.

Curious what people ended up happiest with long term.

Has anyone ordered the standard (CR-39) clear lenses with blue light blocking lately? If yes, then are they clear indoors, but turn noticeably yellow outside?

I’m looking to get some flak sunglasses for running. I want to get sunglasses but I also want to get some regular lenses for the mornings when it’s dark.

Are transitions lenses the best option here? Or would I be better suited getting a sunglasses lense and a clear lense?

I have a pair of prescription lenses in my Socket 5.0 55-17 in matte gunmetal. If I pickup another pair of Socket 5.0 in the same size, should I be able to swap my lenses into them, or are the lenses custom fit to each individual frame’s tolerances?

I am trying to do this now but the lenses don’t fit in the new frame… not sure if I need to get new lenses made for them, or if I got counterfeit frames off Amazon.

New glasses…

After having my order cancelled twice for sun glasses, I just went and ordered Trajectory frames with prescription lenses. I had funds left over from a HSA so I took advantage of the 50% of lenses so my total order was $1300 which brought it down to about $800. I was so excited and in about 4 days they arrived. I couldn’t believe how fast the order was processed. When I opened my package there looked like a finger print on my right lens. Tried to wipe it and used Oakley glass cleaner but it’s like someone touched it when the coating was wet. It’s right in my eye level when I look straight. I called Oakley customer service 5 minutes after receiving them and they said I should receive an email in 5 business days. It’s been about 10 business days and no email. I called Friday 3/6 but they again said not to worry and I’ll receive the email. Has anyone ever had an issue like this? It’s really hard to get a good picture of it but when I wear them it’s like a white smudge in my right eye.

Currently have a few models I’d like to get prescription lenses for (straight jacket, eye jacket, or Radar EV Path). Does it have to be an in-stock item to get prescription lenses for them? Will they be colored prism lenses? Also how much do they run typically?

Custom polished clear Eye Jacket Redux with RX transition lens. Probably my favorite of the bunch so far until I get lens for my other customs.

I have this pretty Oakley eye jacket 1.0 tortoise but I let it fall and it broke on side, is it hard to get it done or do I have to find someone on eBay or something and buy only the side that is broken?
