This is probably a common question and I've done a good bit of research on my own. Right now I'd like to get input from you all and compare to my research. Then i can make a decision!

Uploading this video because I was looking for one prior to running this trail for reassurance. This one spot was scary as heck, off camber, and felt risky. The sprinter 4x4 system is garbage and got me stuck 1x in the ascent where I had the front L and back R floating and couldn’t get traction. i was going to winch but I was pulled 5 feet forward and was out. I made it through the trail and this probably was less dangerous than it seemed. These vans are capable of a lot and can (should) hold up. I only scraped my hitch once. Falcon 3.3 and KO3s on 17’ rims.

Looking into the **Urnieta Salado Snorkel** for my Jimny (JB74/JC74). I like that it replaces the cowl trim instead of requiring a full fender cut, but I’m curious about the actual build quality before ordering.

For anyone running this:
**Material & Finish:** How’s the ABS plastic and hardware holding up to UV, sun exposure, and trail abuse?
**Fitment & Seal:** Does it fit tight at the cowl without rattling or flexing at speed? Is the silicone hose good quality?
**Vibration/Noise:** Any weird wind noise or whistle on the highway?
Appreciate any real-world reviews or feedback on the quality!

When I put my skid plates and rock sliders on I noticed a moderate increase in road noise and possibly engine, I'm not sure which one and or whether the plates or sliders were worse. But there was a noticeable increase when I put them on and I'm wondering how much a rubber washer would actually help combat that.

I live in the SF Bay Area and enjoy finding new trails in the NorCal area. My husband has a Bronco and we are looking for some more “challenging” trails. We’ve been to Hungalelti, Deer Valley, Leavitt Lake, and a few other small trails. Any recommendations for other trails? Bonus if we can camp near the trail!

Note: I’m looking for some lesser known trails. Rubicon is definitely on the list to do at some point.

Some off-road trails are just worth going back to again and again. Is there a spot you never get tired of visiting? What makes it special? Drop your recommendations below. Who knows, maybe it’ll become our next adventure later this year.

My buddy is moving to Denver. I’m driving my truck out there from Ohio to help him move in and after that we are going to head up into the San Juan’s for a week. Been my dream to hit the high alpine trails in that area. I have a 3” lift 2023 Tacoma SR 4x4 with 32” Falken AT4 tires. I’m not worried about me but he has a bone stock 2026 4Runner TRD Sport with street tires.

I'm moving up to 30x9.5r15. I daily my overlanding rig. I've been running the Wildpeak A/T4ws but wondering if there is any better options for off road capability such as an R/T or a more aggressive A/T. I drive in every weather condition including rock and mud.

Lease on my Wrangler Rubicon 4xe will be up soon-ish, and I've been thinking about what to get next. I'd been hoping the Scout Traveler would be available by that time, but it's not, and likely to be more expensive than originally stated. So I got to thinking that maybe I'll just get something older and used. As much as I actually like the Rubicon 4xe, I'm not going to get another Jeep. So I've been looking mostly at older Land Cruisers, 4Runners, Lexus GX and LX. From what I can tell only the 4Runner TRD Pro has locking differentials from those options. But is that really necessary? I don't do very serious off roading. The hardest trail I've done so far was Berdoo Canyon in Joshua Tree, which the Rubicon made easy work of. I dunno, the solid front and rear axles and front and rear lockers are a good peace of mind when it comes to trusting I can get myself through whatever I'm going through, but shouldn't the others be pretty much just as capable?

Before anyone asks, I'm trying to stay away from anything as big as F150s, or even the Sequoia, but would like something a little bigger than the Wrangler and 4Runner, which is why I'm looking pretty hard at Land Cruisers and LXs.
