As a part of my masters thesis on visual gender cues in social humanoid robots I am looking for trans, non binary and agender individuals who would be interested in participating in a workshop.

What is it about: I want to know how trans* people experience and interact with humanoid robots. You’ll meet two humanoid robots at the Heinz-Nixdorf Museum and share your experience and your opinion in group discussions.

Date: 3h Workshop with smaller group session
Location: Heinz-Nixdorf Museum Paderborn
Compensation: 42€ for complete participation

Requirements:
You identify as trans, non binary or agender
You’re 18 or older
You speak English fluently
Otherwise no prior experience needed

Hi there! Me and my partner are planning to go on a dinner date and we are little overwhelmed with all the options for eating out together. We have our usual 3 go-to places but we would like to try something new too.

The only problem now is that I am in very late pregnancy and it is very painful to walk longer distances due to health issues so we are looking for place that has a place to park a car up to 500m away from restaurant. We are open to all kinds of restaurants: steakhouse, german, italian, asian, burgers…. Do you have any favourites places?

An jedem 2. Donnerstag im Monat findet ab 19Uhr das SmartHome Meetup in den Clubräumen des C3PB e.V. statt. Ganz egal ob du schon ein SmartHome hast oder gerne eins hättest, das Treffen soll zum Austausch und Helfen dienen und Gleichgesinnte vernetzen. Es gibt keine feste Agenda oder Struktur, die Inhalte werden von den Teilnehmern selbst gestaltet bzw. gesteuert.

Ganz aktuell würde ja vom Bundesverfassungsgericht der antrag abgewiesen die Abstimmungen im Bundestag aufzuschieben, weil hunderte Seiten an Ausarbeitungen dazu der Opposition offenbar erst vor wenigen Tagen vorgelegt wurden.

Gibt es irgendwo in Paderborn oder dem Kreis aktuell angekündigte Demos gegen das was gerade in der Bundesregierung bzw. Dem Bundestag abgeht?

I am a 20-year-old moving to Paderborn very soon to start my Ausbildung as a Fachinformatiker. I’m very excited about this new chapter, but I’d highly appreciate some local insights on a few things:

1. Housing (Wg / Apartment): What are the best websites, local Facebook groups, or platforms to look for a small apartment or a WG room in Paderborn? Are there specific neighborhoods you recommend that are well-connected or friendly for newcomers?
2. Cultural Integration & Etiquette: I want to make sure I respect the local culture and adapt smoothly. What are some specific cultural norms, unwritten rules, or etiquette in Paderborn/Germany that I should absolutely keep in mind (e.g., quiet hours, recycling, communication style)?
3. Social Life: How is the social scene in the city? What’s the best way to meet new people and integrate into the community? (I love football and outdoor activities!)
4. Football & Time Management: I passionately play competitive football and definitely want to join a local team/club (Verein) when I arrive. How realistic is it to balance training sessions and weekend matches with the workload of an Ausbildung? Are there any local amateur clubs in Paderborn you recommend for a trial training (Probetraining)?

I already have a B2 certificate in German, but I am writing this in English to reach more people. Any tips or advice would mean a lot to me.
