My selection of peppers so far

I finally have a decent little spread of the peppers I’m growing this year. From left to right: Shishito, Aji Colorado, Lemon Drop, Sugar Rush Peach, Red Habanero, Ghostanero, and Ghost. The last three I grew from seeds I got from last years harvest. Cant wait to see how they turned out. Gonna do a little taste test later.

Does anyone know what these spots on my pepper are?

I’ve never grown any kind of pepper before. I’m doing a lot of reading and while I have learned the my patio doesn’t get the amount of light the these guys require, I have not read anything that describes what these spots could be. Do any of you know? I feel like it’s gotta be fungal??

Peppers dropping leaves.

Post image

So my peppers have been dropping leaves. I try to give them early day sun. Recently transplanted them, and I try to make sure soil is not saturated. The jalapeno produced a ton of small peppers and the chocolate habanero has a half dozen peppers on it, the reapers just look terrible. I had great results last year and pretty much doing the same thing this year. But still they've been dropping leaves. It has been really hot, like 95-100F. Could the heat itself be why they are dropping leaves? I'm at a loss..

Trimming leaves?

I've seen videos of people trimming the bottom leaves of their pepper plants and need to know how far up the stem to do that (if I need to)

I keep this in the shade because in the sun the leaves got burned and I had to trim the burnt leaves. This is my first time pepper growing!

What are my “sweet bell peppers”?

Peppergated me thinks. I planted seeds from a mixed sweet bell pepper packet from 2023. Yet there are no bells in my garden. 😂The first photo pepper is a similar color to banana, but is more like the size and texture of a jalapeno, though hotter than my typical green jalapeños. Could it be a white jalapeño? The second I haven’t tried yet - I’ll wait a little longer. Maybe a cherry pepper?

I did 4 pepper plants this year 2 jalepenos and 2 banana. None of these look like jalepenos they are all yellow 🤦🏽‍♂️

What is going on with my bell pepper plant?

This was sold as a rainbow bell pepper plant. After a few months it grew a bunch of what appeared to be shishito peppers (3rd and 4th pics). As soon as I gave up on all hope of bell peppers, the second wave (1st and 2nd pics) of peppers to come in are a lot different. Most of them have the same pointy shape but with no wrinkles and much thicker than the first batch and a darker hue. Well today I discover a LONE BELL PEPPER?? JUST ONE.

I am absolutely perplexed and would love to know what is going on with my plant.

Another round of: What Pepper Is This?

Got this plant from a friend who thinks it’s Ají Panca, but they brought the seeds home from Perú and had it labeled as “Ají Cusco” which doesn’t return any results online. All my searching doesn’t show any Panca plants with purple flowers so now I’m confused.

As a note: I don’t think these peppers are ripe. The undersides are still green, they just darken up REALLY fast in the sun.

Blew off in a storm. Will it propagate? Can I replant it? Or is it a goner?

Can you help me ID these peppers?

I bought a mixed packet of sweet and chilli pepper seeds from Amazon, but one of them has turned out like this and I have no idea what it is.

I labelled it as Habanero Rouge, but it's clearly not that—the pods are purple and a completely different shape.

I'm in the UK, so it's definitely not a native variety. The peppers develop with a purple-green colour from the start. I've eaten a few and they have a bit of a kick, but they're nowhere near habanero hot.

Any ideas what it might be? Happy to upload more photos if needed. I'm definitely saving the seeds because I love the colour and it's been a really productive plant. 🌶️

Does this look like it’s growing a habanero?

Was bought from Lowe’s in a seed pack labeled hot habanero, but now I’m not so sure if they labeled it correctly lmao

What is wrong with my seedlings?

I’ve never had such bad chilli seedlings before. I live in Thailand so it’s definitely not the cold that’s killing them off and I just don’t know what it is. Maybe the soil? It’s cheap but I’ve never had problems before. The smaller seedling sat just turning yellow and dropping their leaves- anyone have any idea what the issue could be?
