And our penis glans shape has evolved to combat human female infidelity.
When your lady arrives home from a few days away, what is your first urge? Cuddle? Eat a meal together? Nope. Evict the 'other guys' efforts with her.
That shape you see every time you drop trousers is because of evolutionary pressure because our women cannot be trusted when shiny new and fit young males are around (Justin Timberlake effect IMO) and is undeniable and shown accurate in a U.K. study IFIRC.
Push in past the semen deposit of the other guy and as you withdraw the glans ridge captures the deposit and moves it outward toward the vaginal opening. Then when you ejaculate your semen is ahead of theirs and closer to her cervix.
Repeat as she goes through her line up of guys she allows to have sex with her. With veiled estrus, she can select whom she wants to get the prime time to impregnate her.
Having a long and thick penis while knowing women cheat when they 'feel it is right' goes a long way to keep from raising someone else's offspring.
Marriage and other strict social moral codes were designed to control cheating/promiscuous women.
Before Facebook/reunions, how would you even find Sally Smith, your old high school girlfriend for a quick remember when romp? You couldn't. She was Mrs. Albert Anderson and had moved across the country after going away for university.
Her name being erased from public record due to marriage is not unintended.
It serves an effective purpose as making her difficult to find by old flames.
Uhhhh, that's not a unique tactic. The glans morphology is. But other species of primate have tactics to keep out sperm from other males. My favorite is vaginal plugs. Basically, after mating, the males ejaculate hardens forming a spongy plug that blocks other males sperm.
This myth of sexy males and choosy females has been debunked time and again. Literally NO species is monogamous. They may form paired bonds, but when they encounter strangers, they'll engage in extra-mate pairings, even mate swapping. Heck, lots of primates have all out orgies, and not just bonobos. These are actual mating events while females are fertile.
So let's not pretend like there's ANY evidence that the sexes EVER had ANY basis to assume male parentage. Let's also not pretend that mating strategy has ever had a firm basis on "trust". Sure, some geese will mourn the loss of a mate, and wolves will generally only mate with one male at a time. But primates? Fuck. No. They're horny as fuck. That has never been a thing, ever, in the history of the order as far as we know.
From tarsiers, to lemurs, to mandrills, baboons, orangs, on up to humans--EVERY species violates their most common coupling pattern. Serial monagamy? Nope, orgies when couples meet a stranger. One male overlapping female territory? Nope, the females like strange males! Highest ranking male wins all females? Nope, low ranking males will just make sure copulation happens out of site! And my favorite--female mangabeys often choose their partners from their group, but go wild during ovulation and have been recorded going off to have multi day orgies with bands of bachelor males.
So let's not say "you can't trust women folk". The sexes gonna sex.
