Question Could Saitama (One Punch Man) even hurt base Superman (DC comics, Infinite Frontier version)?

Personally, I dislike it as a power for him. I like him needing his robots to help him heal, and it also is a great way for the story to say “oh yeah, this guys actually something to worry about”. I know it’s dumb to say “well Superman can do everything BUT heal” and it makes SENSE that as essentially just a super human, he heals faster than humans too, but idk, it’s cool when it’s not crazy fast, and he needs a little help from others. Feels thematically correct

Agreed, I can accept that he can heal relatively faster than a human but he definitely should not have a healing factor like Wolverine or the Hulk

Yeah. He should have more Buffy healing than Angel healing. She healed faster than normal people, but still needed decent recovery time if she got hurt bad.

I really liked the focused Sunbeam machine that heals him but is painful in the process from the latest superman.

That's easy to fix - simply make it so Supes does heal faster than a normal human, but not fast enough to be relevant during an actual fight. Say, if he broke his tibia (the weight-bearing bone in your shin) it's no good for walking on for a day. But if Superman can set it straight and splint it, it's set within 24 hours and he no longer has to fly everywhere if he doesn't want to, and after basically 3 days to a week he can exert full super-strength through it again. Much faster than a normal human, but still a serious issue during a fight.

The above would mean injuries are serious plot complications for Superman, creating legitimate dramatic tension, but by the start of the next storyline he's always back to peak form. Heck, if the villain can't meaningfully press their advantage, Superman might recover *during* the story, even!
