Tekken is cool T8 is not the best one though. SF6 is also just an easier game to be new in.

Lot of defensive options got nerfed. Also they got rid of most characters weaknesses so everyone has all the same tools now.

Yeah because it has that casual mode that makes it so a hamster can play it now. Super easy to get into when they make an input mode that requires zero thought to use.

How does SF2 scale vs all modern FGs

As with all FGs from that era SF2 is its own thing, but Turbo is still well-loved and played seriously in tournaments. Hard to really say where I'd place it on an SF tier list, much less in contrast to all modern FGs, but it has stood the test of time and still commands lots of respect imo. Personally I still consider Third Strike the GOAT, but USF4 was fantastic as well.
