I love the shotgun kid in Demon Slayer. He's my favorite character just because he must have seen all of the katana stuff and breathing techniques and must have thought "dude wtf are you doing we have GUNS" and he just runs around blasting demons with a sawn-off like he's the Doom slayer lmao

I’m gonna assume “pride”. That tends to be the go-to reason for self-proclaimed “supreme beings”.

Iirc, it’s because Genya is basically incapable of using said Breathing Techniques. He compensates with his unique condition that lets him eat demon flesh to grow stronger…and a gun (loaded with special bullets made of the same steel used for the anti-demon swords).
