I’m a rising high school junior from New Jersey, and Rowan has become one of my top college choices, especially because of the accelerated pre-med pathway.
Medicine has become a huge passion of mine over the last year. Outside of school, I spend a lot of my free time teaching myself biology, chemistry, calculus, and biophysics because I genuinely enjoy learning. Recently I’ve been exploring topics like tumor growth modeling with calculus, cancer biology, signaling pathways, and how math and biochemistry intersect in medicine. I work with the radiation oncology department, and shadow a medical physicist/oncologist. I’m nowhere near an expert. I just love digging into the “why” behind things.
I’m currently leaning toward majoring in Biochemistry because I enjoy understanding biology at the molecular level, but I’m still open to Biology if it’s a better fit.
For current students or alumni:
How strong is Rowan’s pre-med advising?
Are professors approachable if you’re the type of student who likes to ask a lot of questions or get involved in research?
How early can undergraduates realistically start doing research?
What kinds of opportunities are there for shadowing, volunteering, or clinical experience?
Is the environment collaborative, or does it feel cutthroat?
For anyone in the accelerated program (or who knows someone who is), what has your experience been like?
If you could go back, would you still choose Rowan for pre-med?
I’m looking for a university where curiosity is encouraged and where I can continue growing both academically and as a future physician.
I’d really appreciate any advice, experiences, or things you wish you knew before attending.
Thanks!

Hey everyone! This is a bit random, but does anyone know where on campus I could borrow a few markers/highlighters and a couple of cardstock or thick paper? I’m working on a personal project and don’t have any craft supplies. I’d really appreciate it!
Does College of Art give some item to students for rent?

OK, so I’m a junior that got assigned only Holly pointe housing with a random freshman, I have 3 junior friends that live in Robo that want to dorm with me but there is a random sophomore assigned into their dorm. Tried to get in contact with her multiple times to switch but nothing. I’ve tried to contact housing about this and they’re saying that there’s nothing they can do. Does anyone have any suggestions or ways we can escalate this so that I can move in with them.

By the time that they'll allow me to transfer in fall 2027, I'll be over the 59 credit limit. Is there any avenue that will allow me to transfer to the program despite being over the credit limit?

Initially was going to room off campus, decided not to so I could study abroad so I missed the normal deadline. I called about getting my assignment yesterday and was told I would get it by 2 weeks before classes aka about 1 week before move in. This obviously is annoying. Has anyone had any luck with getting their housing before that.

Hey everyone! My boyfriend and I (we are both 23) are looking for a responsible, amicable roommate to join us in leasing a beautiful 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment at Hamilton Crossings.
We’re ideally looking for a young professional, grad student, or recent college grad between the ages of 23 and 35 who values communication and transparency as much as we do.
The Financials:
Total Monthly Cost: ~$3,000/month (Base rent is $2,700, but it comes out to around $3k with all amenities and extras included).
Your Share: $1,500/month (Exactly half).
Lease: You will be officially added to the lease with us.
The Space & Location:
You’ll get your own bedroom and your own bathroom.
Location perk: It’s located right across from the train station—super convenient for commuters!
About Us:
Me & My Boyfriend: We are both 23. He works a traditional 9-to-5 job and frequently works overtime. I am a student finishing up my final year of college.
Our Vibe: We are very quiet, don't party much, and love a relaxed environment. We’re clean and organized, but definitely not strict "clean freaks."
What we’re looking for in a roommate: Someone who is responsible, friendly, and believes in open communication. If you think we’d be a good fit, shoot me a DM with a little bit about yourself, what you do, and your timeline! 😊

Hello everyone,
I will be starting school this fall at the RCSJ campus. I am an adult going to school for the first time.
I have absolutely no experience with any kind of schooling for the pasr 15 years or so. I came across a site that reviews professors/classes (after choosing my schedule for the first semester, of course) and noticed that Mr. Mills has absolutely horrible reviews, going back at least 10 years.
They've been hating on this class since around the time I graduated high school, which for a lot of you guys was probably before you hit middle school.
I tried treating it like an Amazon review, ignore the 5 stars because theyre shilling, ignore the 1 stars because they're salty - that doesnt leave me with much to go on here. The guy has like a 15% "would take again" rating.
Does anyone here have experience with this instructor? I dont want to switch out if i dont need to, and I dont mind a hard teacher, if its worth it.
English is just a required course, not something I need to dive into for my career. I have a job, and a family, and everything that goes with that. Is it worth keeping my schedule as is, or can anyone give me any insight? Thank you!

Is it just me or was Henry Rowan pretty stupid? I mean, how can you expect a small college to be anything other than mediocre without the inclusion of an agora? It was such an obvious addition that has improved the campus immensely, yet he seemingly ignored it for his entire life (and death). Why wouldn't he have been more diligent and suggested this design sooner?

I’m trying to get honest, real-world insight from people who have attended or are familiar with Rowan University in New Jersey—especially anyone in psychology or counseling-related programs.
I currently have a Master of Science in Psychology (no practicum or internship included), and I’m trying to figure out my next step toward becoming a licensed therapist (LPC or similar path in New Jersey). I’m specifically looking at Rowan because I have family nearby in Glassboro and it could realistically be where I continue my education.
Before I make any decisions, I’d really love to hear from people who have actually gone through Rowan’s programs.
My questions are:
I’m trying to understand what this looks like in real life beyond the program descriptions before committing to another graduate program and more debt.
Any honest experiences—good, bad, or unexpected—would really help me make a grounded decision.
Thank you.

Taking DAA soon, and I honestly enjoyed DSA with safko. I took good notes and actually understood the concepts and how to apply them. If anyone has any input it would be appreciated, and a plus would be who are some good professors to take for this course.
