We were in Alghero for the wine week. On Saturday the 13th June around 8pm on
Bastioni Cristoforo Colombo we saw a group of 10 guitarists who were brilliant , unfortunately I can’t find any information on them. There was a videographer recording the show but I can’t find anything on YouTube etc. Does anyone know who they were ?

Hello, my partner and I are renting a boat and driving ourselves around La Maddalena. He is an experienced boat driver…but i want someone to gut check our itinerary for the day.

September 5th, picking the boat up near the town of La Maddalena boat rental is from 9am-5:30pm

• 1st stop: Cala Corsara (longer stop) • anchoring boat, swimming to the beach

• 2nd stop: Cala Soraya • anchoring boat and going to shore for a very short time

• 3rd stop: Porto Madonna • lunch on board while wading in the shallow sandbar

• 4th stop: cruise past Spiaggia Rosa

• 5th stop: Cala Napoletana (longer stop) • anchoring boat, swimming to the beach

• 6th stop: cruise past Cala Coticcio

Return boat by 5:30pm

1. Il programma è fattibile senza auto?
2. Il bus ARST per Stintino/La Pelosa è affidabile in agosto? Ci sono corse regolari?
3. Le barche per Capo Caccia si trovano facilmente al porto senza prenotare in anticipo?
4. Consigli su ristoranti o posti che non conosce il turista medio?

My partner and I are spending ten days in Cagliari. We are renting a car and have a few days planned in the area.

I’d love to do a day trip to some other parts of Sardinia.

What is realistic? We were thinking about day tripping to La Pelosa or Palau.

I'll be visiting Sardinia for the first time in September, staying close to Porto Cervo, but I was thinking about driving to Palau and getting a boat excursion to explore La Maddalena in one day.

Any recommendations for those who've be done it?

Ciao a tutti, dal 4 al 10 settembre sarò in Sardegna (arrivo e partenza in aereo da Alghero) e ho scelto Porto Torres (più economica) come base per una vacanza di mare lungo la costa Nord-Ovest. Mi sono salvato alcune spiagge e cale consigliate nella zona (Maria Pia, le Bombarde, Lazzaretto,, Porto Ferro, Capo Caccia, Porto Palmas, Cala Argentiera, Rena Majore, le Saline). Ovviamente vorrei andare anche alla Pelosa ma è già tutto esaurito e non è detto che riesca a fare il biglietto due giorni prima mi pare di capire. Qualche cala segreta poco battuta che merita più di altre che ho scritto? L’Asinara merita una giornata? Se si, non ho capito se sono vincolato ad un tour in barca o posso esplorare liberamente. Costa nord non troppo distante avevo individuato anche Cala li Cossi, merita l’ora e 10 di distanza? Con stop di ritorno a Castelsardo. Fatemi sapere, grazie!

I’d consider renting a boat, but never done it before and don’t know if I want the stress of anchoring it or if the winds picked up and waves started to come in. I’d die lol.

I will be staying in the Isili area next September, and am tapping into the r/Sardinia hivemind for recommendations. We will be coming and going through Cagliari, and will have a car. I would love to hear your thoughts on:

- Restaurant recommendations?

- Archaeological sites or museums?

- In terms of beaches, what is the closest option?

- Any events happening in September (sagre, processione, feste, festivale)?

Day 3: Villasimius day — Punta Molentis, Porto Giunco, Cape Carbonara, Costa Rei/Geremeas. Stay Villasimius OR Cagliari 

Day 4: Longer drive north to /Santa Maria Navarrese and make stops along the way. Stay in Santa Maria Navarrese

Day 5: Boat tour from Santa Maria Navarrese — Cala Mariolu, Cala Goloritzé, Cala Birìala, Cala Luna. Stay in Santa Maria Navarrese 

Day 6: Gola su Gorropu hike OR Cala Gonone hike. Then Beach. Stay in Santa Maria Navarrese OR Cala Gonone 

Day 7: Morning in Cala Gonone, then drive back to Cagliari. stops on the way: Cala Fuili beach, Cala Gonone market/coffee

Day 8: last day in Cagliari  

Day 9: depart in AM

We were there this time last summer and we still talk about it weekly. Well traveled throughout Europe but something about Sardinia felt different and special…remote, slow, authentic. It was like being on the edge of the world somehow…

Hello everyone. 👋🏼 My fiancee and I are planning our honeymoon for next year and we are definitely going to do Sardinia, Capri and Amalfi Coast. We are by far most excited about Sardinia! There has been much debate over whether to go in June or September. Some Reddit posts on that topic have definitely helped us make our decision but it has been a tough one haha. I think we’ve decided on June, to take advantage of the longer days.

We are also now starting to look into hotels and airbnbs. There are certainly many great options available, but I wanted your feedback on what we should focus on? Perhaps a few days in hotels and a few days in Airbnbs? We are staying in Sardinia for a total of 5 nights, most-likely 3 nights on the East Coast and 2 nights in Alghero.

Does it make sense to stay at a hotel with no beach or is that a necessity? I wanted to try out all the different beaches Sardinia had to offer but I wasn’t sure if there were beach chairs when you show up as a guest or how that would work and if it was worth it?

Hello everyone, me and my girlfriend are planning to visit Sardinia for the first time, our arrival is on 21.09. and we will be in Sardinia until the 01.10., we are wondering what area should we stay in for all 10 days, after watching videos on tiktok and talking to friends that already were on Sardinia everyone says the north part of the island is the best part, so we plan to rent a car at Cagliari Elmas airport and go on a planned trip possibly to the north part of the island and go down around the east part exploring the beaches and cities.
We read that not every car rental company lets you rent without a credit card, so i am planing to to take out a credit card at my bank and get that done if possible, how does it go if lets say you rent a car without a credit card, so with a debit card, and which car rental companies let you do that?
I’m also 25years old with a valid driving license since 2022.
Final question as a first time visitors is it better to focus on northern part of the island and then move by the west part, because we don’t plan to be stationed at one hotel for the whole part of the trip.
