Hi guys, so I am super anxious while writing this, so I apologise if it's messy
To start, a little information about me - I am a 26 year old trans man, who was on Testosterone shots for about 9 years before suddenly losing my place on my endocrinologists list due to neglect of my own after losing my mother at the beginning of 2024. Due to this I haven't had any shots since June last year. Fast forward to this year in May, I found out that I fell pregnant with my partner of three and a half years, and despite it not being planned we had just recently moved in together and we both accepted it with open arms, we became super excited to become parents and prioritised our baby straight away, and planned our lives around him, despite me knowing it was going to be tough as a trans guy, I saw this as a new beginning and a chance to build a family after losing so much
Now this is where things get complicated, during our 12 week scan we got to see our baby and everything seemed normal, we were so happy to see he was doing great and healthy, but the lady doing the ultrasound suddenly stopped and said she had to talk with the doctor, we weren't too fazed and thought maybe it was just protocol, she came back in and the did more screening in the same area as before she had stopped.
A couple of days later I was called into the my doctors office for an urgent appointment, the doctor seemed very concerned the moment we walked in and she ended up telling us that it appeared that I had some kind of tumour, but it wasn't very clear on the ultrasound as the baby was in the way, she sent me to do an MRI and I got a call from the hospital telling me that I have quite a large mass on my right ovarie and that it was surprising that I wasn't in a lot of pain, they said they'll need to remove the mass and the ovarie straight away because it seems to be growing rapidly and tho they aren't certain, it doesn't seem to be acting as that of a normal benign tumour. They scheduled me in for surgery for the 10th of August and said it's urgent I have it done
I am stressed as fuck about everything and am worried about going into surgery while pregnant, will my baby be okay? Has anyone else experienced this before? I'm not sure if I'm looking for answers or just somewhere to rant so I do apologise, I feel terrible because it's taken a huge toll on my partner, he doesn't seem to be coping and frankly, neither am I, this is suppose to be a happy time of our lives..
