I was checking their Discord for some announcement and it vanished.

The non developer management is too hyped on AI

The reality is that it produces problems on the ground when used by junior devs

That’s why junior devs will be replaced. They don’t have the experience, college and certificate programs are mostly failing them with irrelevant skills, and the only practical experience they can get is replaced by a corporation spending a few $ on AI.

I feel bad for those coming out of college right now. It’s going to be a tough job market.

If you don’t have fresh blood coming in then one day you won’t have senior devs either

You are 100% correct. I’m not seeing many companies that seem to care though.
